Bug#787931: rhythmbox: It doesn't play any songs. No mp3 or stream radio.

2015-06-06 Thread alberto c.m
Package: rhythmbox
Version: 3.2.1-1
Severity: important
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
I just wanted to play mp3 songs with this pkg. As I try it returns ann
error message.
So I try after that to play stream music, thats where I get ann
explicite error message "Error while trying to create the playbin element.
Check your Gstreamer installation"
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
I search for the gstreamer package with aptitude search gstreamer.
But all seems to be OK.
I delete the ~./gstreamer folder
But this last actionn didn't help.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
The issue still persists, as already mention above.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Not much...:P

Bug#619405: since 1.5.21-3 mutt asks for pgp keys at "random" times

2013-10-16 Thread C.M.
Package: mutt
Followup-For: Bug #619405

Hello,

As already mentioned by Antonio, I also suspect this
is not an issue of changes within color.c and pattern.c.

However, $thorough_search defaults to yes from version 1.5.21 on:
http://www.mutt.org/doc/devel/UPDATING

Thus, I can reproduce your expected AND your encountered behaviour of
mutt by toggeling $thorough_search to no, and yes respectively.
(Independent of $thorough_search - I think adding "!~G" to your color
patterns causes your expected behaviour, too.)

I suggest this is not a bug, but a configuration change within mutt.

Can you verify this behaviour?
Regards,
CM

Bug#631017: crash on group reply

2012-01-30 Thread C.M.
Package: mutt
Version: 1.5.21-5
Followup-For: Bug #631017

Hi,
this problem happens for me on current unstable AND stable, too.
This also applies for a "vanilla" mutt/1.5.21.

Superficially tested this happens when there is a trailing colon
in the To: (crashes for me on Reply AND Group Reply)
or CC: (crashes only on group reply) header.

Putting a leading colon or a colon to the middle of the Header won't
fail, just like any other character except a trailing colon in
To: or CC: makes mutt crash.

C.M.

Bug#652497: cryptdisks: danger in swap

2012-01-29 Thread C.M.
Package: cryptsetup
Version: 2:1.3.0-3.1
Followup-For: Bug #652497

Hi,
I can reproduce this error on current unstable.
(But looks the same for stable)

I believe the problem is caused by conditions
in /lib/cryptsetup/cryptdisks.functions
in the precheck-function do_noluks() lines 319-324
that explicitly disable the filesystem-check for
the source device if a swap target is about to be
started:

if ! pre_out=$("$PRECHECK" "$src" 2> /dev/null) && \
   [ "$MAKESWAP" != "yes" ] && \
   ! /lib/cryptsetup/checks/blkid "$src" swap >/dev/null; then
log_warning_msg "$dst: the precheck for '$src' failed: $pre_out"
return 1
fi

-> The creation of an encrypted file system on the source device will
fail if blkid _finds_ a known filesystem on the source device that is
something other than swap AND when there is no intention to create a swap
device.

Indeed this checking works fine when trying to run an encrypted tmp on a known
filesystem
like e.g. /.

Inversely these conditions imply that its fine to override a filesystem if it
either used
to be a swap partition or override any other filesystem type if you
want to put an encrypted swap on it.

Removing the second (and third if you wish) condition will
make

cryptdisks_start /dev/sdXX

fail if there is already a proper well-known filesystem on it.

Still, I don't know if that interferes with the installer or so...

C.M.

Yup. Sick, busy, sick, busy, Thanks for poking me. I had
addressed some of the issues, but hadn't been able to get to all
of them.

SP> By the way, we recommand you to use the last script

Got that. There's still an active discussion going on on
debian-mirrors, so I was holding off on implementing it until the
changes were finalized.

SP> It seems you adopted anonftpsync, the list of archs

I think I was using a modified local version, as we weren't doing
push updates at the time.

SP> Did you explicitely selected one of these mirrors ?

No, not yet. The instructions on how to do that are a bit vague.
I gather I have to contact someone at some site to get them to
send me an SSH key, but who and where isn't specified, which makes
it more work, which stops me from just dealing with it.

If you have a contact at any of these sites, I'd be happy to take
that information.

I'll see if I can get that. Should be pretty fast, and we're also
on Internet 2.

2.60 is in experimental, as unstable was frozen when I packaged
it. I will package the latest version, however. Thanks for the

Excellent! I will update the Recommends and upload a new
package. (As it happens, Eddie had another upstream update
anyway.)

Bug#389737: lcdf-typetools: Missing dependency for otftotfm: pltotf not found

I hadn't been aware of the dependence, and, of course, until just
recently teTeX was the only game in town.

Actually, according to packages.debian.org, pltotf is supplied by
tetex-bin, ptex-bin, *and* texlive-font-utils.

If you could install texlive-font-utils and verify that otftotfm
works properly again, I will add a recommends for tetex-bin |
ptex-bin | texlive-font-utils.

Thanks for bringing this issue to my attention.

Bug#258972: A license for the Debian additions to teTeX

Frank,

Yes, use the GPL.

I use the GPL for TeX code I write.

Bug#299559: not fixed yet

Thanks for both these tips -- I overlooked the -a option in the
package I was using as an example.

The main issue here for me is that I was generating a dummy
package for the first time, and couldn't find good documentation
for that procedure. I appreciate your taking the time to point
out the bits I missed.

This problem should be fixed (for real) in my most recent upload,
which happens to be version 2.26. I may have to close the bug by
hand, as the bug closure notice was included in the changelog for
an earlier package that I didn't bother to upload.

Thanks, again,

   Claire
