Bug#641866: iceweasel: Safe-mode dialog erases settings without warning
Package: iceweasel Version: 6.0.2-1 Severity: normal bugzilla bug: 687182 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=687182 Steps to reproduce: started iceweasel with the -safe-mode option, and partially due to the asinine GTK button order, I clicked "Make changes and restart" instead of "Continue in safe mode". Actual results: In addition to the browser's settings, I also lost settings for my extensions. For example, all sites I whitelisted in Noscript and Flashblock are gone. All this happened without warning, and absolutely no backup of any kind was performed on my ~/.mozilla directory. Expected results: I think at the very least an "are you sure" dialog should have been offered, and probably something like "back up your settings before overwriting all of them". I really don't think my extensions settings should have been touched. -- Package-specific info: -- Addons package information -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-dbb-deb (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages iceweasel depends on: ii debianutils 4.0.2 ii fontconfig 2.8.0-3 ii libc6 2.13-18 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.24.0-1 ii libglib2.0-02.28.6-1 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.4-3 ii libnspr4-0d 4.8.9-1 ii libstdc++6 4.6.1-4 ii procps 1:3.2.8-11 ii xulrunner-6.0 6.0.2-1 iceweasel recommends no packages. Bug#567717: Solved
I had to enable antialiasing in /etc/fonts/local.conf in order to get antialiasing in KDM. Bug#563828: finch: GNT shortcuts do not work in Xterm
Package: finch Version: 2.6.4-1 Severity: important I installed the finch package from squeeze. It appears to woek normally when run from Konsole, but not from XTerm. I double checked the man page to make sure that I was using the right key combinations. I think it is possible that some configuration file is causing the conflict, but until I can be sure, I am marking this as a bug. I also thought that screen might have been causing the conflict, but after trying finch inside an XTerm without screen, I had the same problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.31-dbb-deb (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages finch depends on: ii libc6 2.10.2-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib2.0-0 2.22.3-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgstreamer0.10-00.10.25-4+b1 Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libncursesw5 5.7+20090803-2 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpurple02.6.4-1multi-protocol instant messaging l ii libxml2 2.7.6.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii pidgin-data 2.6.4-1multi-protocol instant messaging c finch recommends no packages. Bug#535077: kdeplasma-addons: Notes widget reverts to default color
Package: kdeplasma-addons Version: 4:4.2.4-1 Severity: normal After adding a Desktop Sticky Notes widget to my desktop, the default textcolor is set as the "Theme Color". My colorscheme is Obsidian coast, so the Notes text color is light gray. With the lighter Notes Themes (e.g. orange or yellow), this text is illegible. Under the "Color" option, I chose #00 then selected "Ok". The text I then typed in the note was the right color, but after deleting that text, anything I typed was once again in light gray. The only workaround for this bug that I have found is to delete the current notes widget, create a new one, change the textcolor, then type a character (such as a space or hyphen) and leave that character in the note permanently.
