Hallo Roland! Strange. I use the same configuration on my home system, but never got this error message. Neither with 3.0.12 nor with 3.0.13. I downgraded to 3.0.12. This version works fine. After a subsequent upgrade to 3.0.13 I could reproduce the same error: /var/log/privoxy/logfile: Fatal error: can't bind to INADDR_ANY:8118: The hostname is not resolvable Maybe its a sid issue (I personally usually use lenny). I use unstable but it is only a problem with 3.0.13 as mentioned above. do you use some special architecture (I only use i386 and amd64)? i386 Where does this INADDR_ANY come from? Did you enter it to the config file or is it only the output in the log? It is only in the log file. The correct configuration to listen on all interfaces is listen-address :8118 As I wrote in the subject :-) Could you please give me more information, how to reproduce this problem? Hello Michael, in the meantime I decided to remove and re-install i3lock. (Un)fortunately it seems that the problem is gone. or if your problems with kvm are really related to i3lock. The problem was not effected by 3 reboots and happened only with i3lock -d but not with i3lock and slock. Unfortunately I noticed two unnecessary delays during the boot process. These are caused by the fact that hwclock is not able to read the time from /dev/rtc. The hwclock command works only with --directisa. I installed hardy with vmlinuz-2.6.24-16-generic in another partition on the same machine. There are no problems with hpet=force and hwclock. However, since the cupsys package is explicitly the cups server, it does *not* make sense to do so. default files should not be used for disabling a server which is started by default on package installation. That's what the /etc/rc?.d/ symlinks are for, so if you want cups not to start by default, please configure the symlinks accordingly I removed the symlinks after EVERY update! Have you ever looked into /var/lib/dpkg/info/cupsys.postinst? If /etc/init.d/cupsys is executable update-rc.d is run and the cupsd is started.
