Bug#1037996: Acknowledgement (xfce4: xfce-Desktop will be crashed at start and than black Desktop)

2023-07-04 Thread Dr. Hanisch

Hello,
I am working under XFCE with Autostart of compiz/emerald or "compiz
--replace".

In this situation the effect of black Desktop turns up.
And only with replayed Ctrl+Alt+h (Parcellite Clipboard) and ENTER I can
the Desktop conjure up.

Ergo the reason for this effect is the arrangement of XFCE and compiz
after the last dist-upgrade of Distro siduction (trixie/sid).

I think that is a fatal bug in XFCE.

Dear Maintainer,

this is my first debian bug report. I am sorry, if something is not correct :)

   * What led up to the situation?
 * tried to mount a davs share (simple apache mod_dav vhost), getting
"Message is already in session queue" error.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
 * gio mount davs://my.webdav/share/ ~/mnt
   * What was the outcome of this action?
 * error massage above
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
 * davs should be mounted

There exists an issue on gnome gitlab gvfs project,
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/636
It seems to be fixed in 1.50.4, so it probably need a backport to 1.50.3 in
debian stable (bookworm)

Thank you a lot!

That is  however no solution for  this situation.

Dear Maintainer,

* What led up to the situation?
I am using the Distro "siduction". After last D-U to "trixie/sid" the
Xfce-Desktop can not have stability. After a short-term  to flash the
right Desktop the Desktop will be black and freezing.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or

The situation came over after system-start to Xfce-Desktop

* What was the outcome of this action?
After a short-term  to flash the right Desktop the Desktop will be black
and freezing.

* What outcome did you expect instead?

The right to manifest a stable readout of the Xfce-Desktop

Bug#925470: ptpd uses 100% of its assigned CPU core

2019-03-25 Thread Simon Hanisch
Package: ptpd
Version: 2.3.0-dfsg-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I used ptpd to synchronize the clocks between two hosts (A and B). Both sync
via multicast with
a master. All three hosts are connected via a gigabit switch. I conducted a
bandwith test
with iperf to send traffic from A to B. After the test the ptpd daemon on host
A started
using 100% of its assgined CPU core. Since ptpd did not stop to run at a 100% I
was forced to
stop and restart the daemon. I was able to reproduce this behavior multiple
times.

Best Regards
Simon

Bug#704912: base: VirtualBox Guest Additions installation with Kernel 3.2.0-4-486 failed

2013-04-09 Thread Ch. Hanisch
Hi,
I have verified the problem again with VirtualBox 4.2.8 and Kernel
3.2.0-4-486 (Revision 3.2.35-2).
The Installation of Guest Additions with this VirtualBox-Version (I
think with 4.2.10 also) and your Kernel Revision 3.2.35-2) works well.
I have also 3D-Grafik and Gnome 3 works well.

after updating from php4 to php5 i run in problems with a few php scripts using
preg_match.

preg_match( /head.*\/head/is, $content, $matches );

nothing special in $content. only head {a few chars} /head { a lot of chars
}. This only occur, if the string is larger.
I dont found the exact limit, my test file is around 126kb large. i will upload
the testscript and the testfile later.
i simplified the testfile. so only the matchstrings and spaces are in.
