Bug#709051: Might "just" be a local firewall rule
I encountered that error earlier today, but it went away when I fixed the local firewall to allow the traffic. It's not a good way to report that though. But I'm writing this in the hope that it can help others that encounter this (since the bug report is more than 10 years old, I don't expect that it will help Harish). .Henrik
Bug#1004135: plantuml: please update to a newer upstream version
Another reason to package an updated version: the version currently in stable (it's the same in testing and unstable) doesn't generate correct diagrams. If I take the "seasons" example of: @startuml concise "Season" as S '30 days is scaled to 50 pixels scale 2592000 as 50 pixels @2000/11/01 S is "Winter" @2001/02/01 S is "Spring" @2001/05/01 S is "Summer" @2001/08/01 S is "Fall" @enduml from https://plantuml.com/timing-diagram, and run it through plantuml I get a diagram without labels on the x-axis. .Henrik

Bug#1012810: cadaver: Doesn't recognise SSL cert (perhaps because it has many names)
Package: cadaver Version: 0.23.3-2.1+b1 Severity: normal I'm trying to use cadaver on stable/amd64, the version I've got here differs from the newest packages both by having a binary non-maintainer upload for amd64 (giving the "+b1" on my version, i.e. I have that) and a non-maintainer upload that only fixes building issues (as far as I can see - giving the change for "-2.1" to "-2.2" - I don't have that). In total I don't believe those differences matter for this issue. When I try to use cadaver, I get this: dav:!> open https://files.one.com WARNING: Untrusted server certificate presented for `confluence.one.com': Issued to: internal-it.one.com Issued by: Let's Encrypt, US Certificate is valid from Wed, 27 Apr 2022 15:35:02 GMT to Tue, 26 Jul 2022 15:35:01 GMT Do you wish to accept the certificate? (y/n) When I visit that site in a browser, it doesn't say anything about that certificate, if I view it I can see it has 11 alternate names, of which files.one.com is the second. We're witin the validity period that cadaver sees and it actually shows the first alternate name in the "Untrusted server certificate presented"-message, perhaps cadaver (or some library it uses) doesn't properly support that many alternate names? This might be the same issue as reported in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=741366 but that bug report doesn't contain any info about the certificate offered, so it's hard to tell. .Henrik -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-13-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=da_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages cadaver depends on: ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u3 ii libgcrypt20 1.8.7-6 ii libgnutls30 3.7.1-5 ii libncurses6 6.2+20201114-2 ii libneon27-gnutls 0.31.2-1 ii libreadline8 8.1-1 ii libtinfo6 6.2+20201114-2 ii libxml2 2.9.10+dfsg-6.7+deb11u2 cadaver recommends no packages. cadaver suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
Bug#988068: Info received (Another case where the current apparmor profile causes problems)
I just read (and understood) Mikkel's suggestion. That won't help in my case, I basically need read permissions to *all* files in `.config/redshift`. Unfortunately I don't know apparmor well enough to suggest an addition to the policy that will accomplish that.
Bug#988068: Another case where the current apparmor profile causes problems
Instead of wasting time configuring and running a location service, I just had a number of slightly different configuration files for redshift (with different manual locations specified) and would just let `.config/redshift.conf` be a symlink to the one corresponding to my current location. (And do some extra work in new locations) That didn't work with the discussed restriction (but I could easily put all the different configs in `.config/redshift/`. For now my workaround was simply to replace the symlink with a copy.

Bug#980479: openshot-qt: Openshot crashes during playback
Package: openshot-qt Version: 2.5.1+dfsg1-1~bpo10+1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I want to remove parts of a video. Unfortunately the video in question is in a 1.7GB file, so it's difficult to share, but I don't have the neccessary rights anyway. I start openshot, import the video and add it to the topmost track of the project. If I then start a preview of the project (yes, that's a bit silly, but I can reproduce the error that way, if I start doing interesting things, openshot either dies or locks up), it plays for a while (I saw the timer say 02:24 just before it crashed, it might have gotten just past the 02:25 mark, but I didn't see that). Bug#888755: postgresql-common: pg_upgradecluster should call psql with -X
Source: postgresql-common Version: 181+deb9u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, When I upgraded a box (that's heavily firewalled, so running reportbug on it doesn't work, so I'm writing this from another box, I'll try to make sure the automatically inserted information reflects the box I had the problem on) from Jessie to Stretch, I also got postgresql 9.6 instead of (or technically in addition to) the 9.4 that was in Jessie, and was told to run pg_upgradecluster to upgrade the databases. That failed with some messages about trying to run "CREATE DATABASE" inside a transaction. After a while and some timme searching the net, I realised that it might be due to me having "\set AUTOCOMMIT off" in /etc/postgresql-common/psqlrc, and adding a -X to every call of psql in pg_upgradecluster did indeed fix the problem and allowed me to upgrade my databases. Most things you'd ever find in a psqlrc is related to interactive use, so just not reading it should be a lot better than the current behaviour. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages postgresql-common depends on: ii adduser 3.115 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.61 ii init-system-helpers 1.48 ii lsb-base 9.20161125 ii postgresql-client-common 181+deb9u1 ii procps2:3.3.12-3 ii ssl-cert 1.0.39 ii ucf 3.0036 Versions of packages postgresql-common recommends: ii logrotate 3.11.0-0.1 postgresql-common suggests no packages.

Bug#828695: xbomb interacts badly with i3
Package: xbomb Version: 2.2b-1 Severity: normal This is without any xbomb specific configuration of i3. When I start i3 on a desktop where only my i3bar is present, it starts in a window that takes up the entire desktop (that is as i3 is supposed to make it). xbomb starts in easy/squares mode but the individual fields of the playing board are scaled so badly that I can only see the first 5½ row, that makes the game impossible. Changing to medium/squares I can see the first 11 rows (and a tiny fraction of the 12th), in hard/squares I can actually see the entire board. Changing game type just leaves a white area where the menu was (after changing desktops = redrawing windows) the entire playing area is white, and changing level doesn't change that, but it is remembered if I change back to squares. When i3 splits the desktop horisontally between xbomb and another window, the hexagons and triangles mode still doesn't work, but easy/squares is scaled better, I can see all 8 rows and 7½ columns (the window is wide enough that the rest of the eight column could have been there, but it's cut. Similarily medium/squares is scaled so that the 16'th column is needlessly cut, the numbers that appear in (some of) the squares in that column is also cut, but you can see enough to tell them apart. In hard/squares only the first 20 columns are visible. Other configurations of additional windows and thereby other sizes for the xbomb window is possible, but I don't see any value in testing more. It doesn't seem to make a difference whether I make the window floating after starting the program, or by putting 'for_window [class="XBomb"] floating enable' in i3's config. When trying to resize the window (in floating mode, the only option is using the keybindings) the window size doesn't change, probably because xbomb refuses the new size (that is probably the same issue as reported with ratpoison in #456031). It's possible that defining other keybindings to resize the window in both directions simultaneously and other increments might give other results, but that seems like a poor strategy (I can't define keybindings for every program that might need special behaviour). At first, when xbomb starts in easy/squares, everything looks good, and the game is playable. Changing to medium/squares, the window becomes significantly smaller (not what is expected), it becomes so narrow that the "Hi-Scores" button is cut with the first column (or two) of the second "s" visible, and the "Quit" button is not in the window. If I start playing, the numbers that appear in the squares are higher than the squares giving a rather confusing look, but the game is playable. Changing back to easy/squares, the window does not change size, but the smaller number of squares means everything looks fine, but the button bar is still cut, in particular the "Quit" button is missing from view. Changing to hard/squares (it seems not to matter whether the change was from easy or medium), the window is resized to a wider variant to accomodate the number of squares, but the individual squares are too small for the numbers inside (the same as described above), changing from hard to easy, gives the window the initial size where the "Quit" button is visible. In hexagon iand triable modes it's much the same, except that going from medium to easy make the window smaller than it was from the start, and going from difficult to easy make it a larger than it was from the start. Going from floating to tiled mode, you can continue the game in both hexagon and triangle modes, but the fields of the board is not scaled, just placed with lots of space between them, and in triangle modes the numbers appear outside the fields. Trying to go from traibles to hexagons or vice versa in a tiled window, produces some strange graphic effects. - Some conclusions: Basically only squares modes work when the window is tiled, but scaling is weird and means only some levels are playable. When the window is floating, all modes work, but on medium or hard levels scaling is very poor. - I would suggest making xbomb allow any window size, with some minimums based on game mode and the width of all the buttons. And then just scale the area that is actually used for the playing field. That might results in windows with quite a lot of whitespace, but I guess it will make it work better with window managers that try to affect the size of the window. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.5.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=da_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages xbomb depends on: ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u4 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.2-3 ii libxaw7 2:1.0.12-2+b1 ii libxt61:1.1.4-1+b1 xbomb

Well, RFC3501, section 5.1, says: Mailbox names are 7-bit. Client implementations MUST NOT attempt to create 8-bit mailbox names, and SHOULD interpret any 8-bit mailbox names returned by LIST or LSUB as UTF-8. Server implementations SHOULD prohibit the creation of 8-bit mailbox names, and SHOULD NOT return 8-bit mailbox names in LIST or LSUB. So strictly speaking courier doesn't do anything wrong, I just can't imagine the valid reasons (from RFC2119, where the meaning of SHOULD is defined) for not prohibiting the creation of these folders. At work we have seen folder names with 8 bit characters several times, and I'm pretty sure very few of those customers have used imapfilter. I.e. there are other broken clients out there, so prohibiting this on the server would be the easiest way to avoid problems. Dovecot does prohibit this, and we are probably going to replace courier with dovecot anyway, so my problem will probably go away. If the courier developers wont fix this, just tag this bug report as wont-fix, but please leave it open, so others may find it and reconsider using courier. .Henrik P.S. I don't expect imapfilter to behave much better, if I start using SUCK-8, so I've just mangled the folder name to pure ASCII. - And submitted a bug report against imapfilter http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=619242 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#519007: ssh-askpass-fullscreen fails to grab keyboard
Package: ssh-askpass-fullscreen Version: 0.3-2 Severity: normal This bug is already reported against the package in ubuntu, see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ssh-askpass-fullscreen/+bug/327588 Whenever ssh-askpass-fullscreen has a question to ask me (whether it's for a passphrase or to allow ssh-agent to use my key) it's display a dialog saying: Could not grab keyboard. A malicious client may be eavesdropping on your session. If I use gtk-led-askpass or gnome-ssh-askpass (and the changelog says the keyboard grabbing code is taken from that) I don't get that warning. The fix pointed to in the ubuntu bug works, for the debian package the right file to modify is debian/patches/01_grab_fix.patch though. Although this isn't a security problem, it's almost as bad to give false warnings like this, it might make people think they should ignore that kind of warning. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (700, 'stable'), (600, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (20, 'unstable'), (10, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-vserver-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=da_DK.utf8, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ssh-askpass-fullscreen depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-7The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfontconfig12.6.0-3generic font configuration library ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.6-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.11-4 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-3 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxcursor1 1:1.1.9-1 X cursor management library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxi62:1.1.4-1 X11 Input extension library ii libxinerama1 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxrandr22:1.2.3-1 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-2 X Rendering Extension client libra ssh-askpass-fullscreen recommends no packages. ssh-askpass-fullscreen suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#517097: mytop: Output looks bad when id's are more than 8 digits
Package: mytop Version: 1.6-5 Severity: minor With a heavily loaded mysql server that has been running for a long time, the id's can easily be larger than 10^8 (on the server I'm looking at right now, new id's are around 1.5*10^8, and that has only been running for 69 days). But mytop is hardcoded (line 908) to a column width of 8 chars for the id. But as printf prints the whole id (and that's how it should be), the width calculation for the Query or State column is wrong, which causes one char too much to be printed which makes the line wrap, that looks quite bad, and with many queries it can cause the headers and topmost queries to scroll off the screen. (The problem is seen on a server having mytop 1.4-1 - the version in etch - from which I can't run reportbug, but I apt-get'ed the source for 1.6-5 on this machine and checked the code) -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (700, 'stable'), (600, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (20, 'unstable'), (10, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=da_DK.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#500153: evolution: Renaming IMAP-folders with subfolders causes errorneus subscription
Package: evolution Version: 2.22.3.1-1 Severity: minor If I create an IMAP-folder called rrr with a subfolder called ttt, rename rrr to yyy, go to Folder/Subscriptions and select the server, I'm still subscribed to a folder called rrr (which has no subfolders), not subscribed to yyy but subscribed to the subfolder (of yyy) called ttt. I can easily subscribe to yyy, but unsubscribing from rrr doesn't cause an error, but if I close the Folder Subscriptions dialog and reopen it, I'm still subscribed to rrr. The IMAP server is courier, and if I check the courierimapsubscribed file I can see that it thinks I'm subscribed to INBOX.rrr.ttt and INBOX.yyy. Restarting evolution causes it to discover that rrr had a subfolder called ttt that I was subscribed to (it thought I was subscribed to rrr to though), and allowed me to unsubscribe. If I close and reopen the Folder Subscriptions dialog, it still lists rrr with subfolder ttt as folders I can subscribe to, even though they don't exist. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (700, 'testing'), (600, 'stable'), (20, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=da_DK.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages evolution depends on: ii dbus 1.2.1-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii evolution-common 2.22.3.1-1architecture independent files for ii evolution-data-server 2.22.3-1 evolution database backend server ii gconf2 2.22.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii gnome-icon-theme 2.22.0-1 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii gtkhtml3.143.18.3-1 HTML rendering/editing library - b ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.20-2 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-01.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbluetooth2 3.36-1Library to use the BlueZ Linux Blu ii libbonobo2-0 2.22.0-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-0 2.22.0-1 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.7-13GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libcamel1.2-11 2.22.3-1 The Evolution MIME message handlin ii libdbus-1-31.2.1-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.76-1simple interprocess messaging syst ii libebook1.2-9 2.22.3-1 Client library for evolution addre ii libecal1.2-7 2.22.3-1 Client library for evolution calen ii libedataserver1.2-92.22.3-1 Utility library for evolution data ii libedataserverui1.2-8 2.22.3-1 GUI utility library for evolution ii libegroupwise1.2-132.22.3-1 Client library for accessing group ii libexchange-storage1.2 2.22.3-1 Client library for accessing Excha ii libfontconfig1 2.6.0-1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-2 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgconf2-42.22.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglade2-01:2.6.2-1 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.5-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-pilot22.0.15-2.4Support libraries for gnome-pilot ii libgnome2-02.20.1.1-1The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomecanvas2-0 2.20.1.1-1A powerful object-oriented display ii libgnomeui-0 2.20.1.1-1The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 1:2.22.0-4GNOME Virtual File System (runtime ii libgtk2.0-02.12.11-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtkhtml3.14-19 3.18.3-1 HTML rendering/editing library - r ii libhal10.5.11-3 Hardware Abstraction Layer - share ii libice62:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libldap-2.4-2 2.4.10-3 OpenLDAP libraries ii libnm-glib00.6.6-2 network management framework (GLib ii libnotify1 [libnotify1 0.4.4-3 sends desktop notifications to a n ii libnspr4-0d4.7.1-3 NetScape Portable Runtime Library ii libnss3-1d 3.12.0-5 Network Security Service libraries ii liborbit2 1:2.14.13-0.1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-2 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpisock9 0.12.3-5 library for communicating with a P ii libpisync1 0.12.3-5 synchronization library for PalmOS ii libpixman-1-0 0.10.0-2 pixel-manipulation library for X a ii

When clicking the OK button in the dialog, the MPlayer interrupted by signal 2 in module: uninit_gui appears in the terminal, and the program exits. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (700, 'testing'), (600, 'stable'), (20, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=da_DK.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mplayer depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.22Debian configuration management sy ii libasound2 1.0.16-2 ALSA library ii libatk1.0-01.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libaudiofile0 0.2.6-7 Open-source version of SGI's audio ii libavcodec51 0.svn20080206-8 ffmpeg codec library ii libavformat52 0.svn20080206-8 ffmpeg file format library ii libavutil490.svn20080206-8 ffmpeg utility library ii libc6 2.7-10GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcaca0 0.99.beta14-1 colour ASCII art library ii libcairo2 1.6.4-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libcdparanoia0 3.10.0+debian-1 audio extraction tool for sampling ii libcucul0 0.99.beta14-1 low-level Unicode character drawin ii libdirectfb-1.0-0 1.0.1-9 direct frame buffer graphics - sha ii libesd00.2.36-3 Enlightened Sound Daemon - Shared ii libfontconfig1 2.6.0-1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libfribidi00.10.9-1 Free Implementation of the Unicode ii libgcc11:4.3.1-2 GCC support library ii libgif44.1.6-5 library for GIF images (library) ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl 7.0.3-5 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.4-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-02.12.10-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libjack0 0.109.2-3 JACK Audio Connection Kit (librari ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii liblircclient0 0.8.3-2 infra-red remote control support - ii liblzo2-2 2.03-1data compression library ii libmpcdec3 1.2.2-1 Musepack (MPC) format library ii libncurses55.6+20080713-1shared libraries for terminal hand ii libogg01.1.3-4 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libopenal1 1:1.3.253-5 Software implementation of the Ope ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpng12-0 1.2.27-1 PNG library - runtime ii libpostproc51 0.svn20080206-8 ffmpeg video postprocessing librar ii libsdl1.2debian1.2.13-2 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libsmbclient 2:3.0.31-1shared library that allows applica ii libspeex1 1.2~beta4-2 The Speex codec runtime library ii libstdc++6 4.3.1-2 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libsvga1 1:1.4.3-27console SVGA display libraries ii libswscale00.svn20080206-8 ffmpeg video scaling library ii libtheora0 1.0~beta3-1 The Theora Video Compression Codec ii libx11-6 2:1.1.4-2 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxinerama1 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxv1 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Video extension library ii libxvmc1 1:1.0.4-2 X11 Video extension library ii libxxf86dga1 2:1.0.2-1 X11 Direct Graphics Access extensi ii libxxf86vm11:1.0.2-1 X11 XFree86 video mode extension l ii mplayer-skin-blue [mpl 1.6-2 blue skin for mplayer ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime mplayer recommends no packages. Bug#486129: openvpn ask for pass phrase for key, ignores it, and then asks for key password
Package: openvpn Version: 2.1~rc7-3 Severity: normal Earlier this week a new version of openvpn migrated to lenny, and I upgraded, since then I've gotten an extra question when I start my tunnel: orion% sudo /etc/init.d/openvpn start kontoret Starting virtual private network daemon: kontoretEnter pass phrase for Henrik_Christian_Grove_kontor.key: Enter Private Key Password: (OK). orion% At the first prompt it seems I can enter anything (at least 4 characters - and I think it said there was a max on 8192), no matter what, it asks for the key passwords and I get a tunnel if I enter that correctly. I find that extra question rather annoying, and as my answer seems to be ignored, it really should be removed. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (700, 'testing'), (600, 'stable'), (20, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=da_DK.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages openvpn depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0]1.5.22 Debian configuration management sy ii libc62.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii liblzo2-22.03-1 data compression library ii libpam0g 0.99.7.1-6 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-10.1 SSL shared libraries ii openssl-blacklist0.3.2 list of blacklisted OpenSSL RSA ke ii openvpn-blacklist0.3 list of blacklisted OpenVPN RSA sh openvpn recommends no packages. -- debconf information: * openvpn/vulnerable_prng: openvpn/change_init: false openvpn/change_init2: false openvpn/create_tun: false openvpn/stop2upgrade: false openvpn/default_port: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
