Bug#547173: [Pkg-mozext-maintainers] Bug#547173: Bug#547173: iceweasel-scrapbook: Compatibility with firefox 3.5
On 10/17/2009 07:25 AM, Michal Politowski wrote: Now that iceweasel 3.5 is in unstable it would be really very good to have an updated scrapbook there too. Also, too bad the dependencies of iceweasel-scrapbook aren't tighter. Would it be possible to use version declarations from the extension's install.rdf to automatically provide an upper version number limit in the package dependency on iceweasel? You need to bump the version in install.rdf build than test. Normally a patch is cleaner than bumping version in install.rdf but i do both. Ubuntu's version of scrapbook has the bumped *.rdf but i dont recall if we included 3.6 in that. -- Sincerely Yours, John Vivirito https://launchpad.net/~gnomefreak https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnVivirito Linux User# 414246 How can i get lost, if i have no where to go -- Metallica from Unforgiven III signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

I have tested this and it fails to work as expected. This is something i will not pursue (this one package) I have yet found a free version of this type of extension. If you are able to find one that is free let me know and i will look at it.

Has this been uploaded to sid yet? I'm going through my lightning-sunbird bugs in Ubuntu and this was attached to a Ubuntu bug. Alexander Did you packagfe this for Debian? It should be easy enough to grab Lenny's version and change target release to Sid. Let me know if this is still needed i will be glad to package it for Sid -- Sincerely Yours, John Vivirito https://launchpad.net/~gnomefreak https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnVivirito Linux User# 414246 How can i get lost, if i have no where to go -- Metallica from Unforgiven III -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. I have pushed this to my Launchpad PPA, We are at this time unable to push Debian sources to PPA'a but i added iceweasel and friends to depends, i may be pushing a version with 3.5 and 3.6 in depends but i haven't done that yet. Does Debian have package mozilla-devscripts or is that just us? You can find binaries and source at the following link: https://edge.launchpad.net/~gnomefreak/+archive/ppa the only thing i cna think of that would be an issue is the mozilla-devscripts depend but that is easy enough to change.

Bug#405951: Misplaced toolbar icons reproduced
On 11/08/2008 08:06 PM, Ron Bentley wrote: I've confirmed what Andreas Metzler saw last year, but this time with Iceape 1.1.9-1 and 1.1.12-1. The following should reproduce the problem: 1. In Edit | Preferences | Appearance | Themes, select the Classic theme. 2. In Edit | Preferences | Appearance, check Pictures only under Show toolbars as. 3. Restart Iceape. At this point, all toolbar icons are correct. 4. Drag the mouse across the toolbar (not clicking anything). Now the Go Forward and Reload icons are identical to the Go Back icon, and the Stop icon looks just like the Print icon. 5. Re-position the window (just click and drag the border). The icons go back to their original, correct forms. This is independent of the X driver (tried it on two different computers, one Intel, the other Radeon), and it's independent of window manager. The obvious work-around right now is not to use the Classic theme with Show Toolbars as Pictures Only checked. Thanks for helping me get it in archives. Im waiting on a reply to an email i sent to upstream authoer about licensing and hopfully a CVS or SVN. but can use .xpi if needed. we can fix mozilla-bookmarksftp but since no newer version than IMHO it should be replaved by Foxmarks. let me know if *-bookmarks should be kept and i will be glad to try and update the install.rdf and hop it works but it should. -- Sincerely Yours, John Vivirito https://launchpad.net/~gnomefreak https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnVivirito Linux User# 414246 signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

the problem that there is no 'newer version' of mozilla-bookmarksftp... the fact that you are not debian dev means close to nothing ;-) if you package anything - let me know -- I will inspect it and whenever everything is good enough to appear in debian -- I would be happy to sponsor your upload into debian On Tue, 16 Sep 2008, John Vivirito wrote: I would like to clear up my last post it was middle of night and i was extremely tired the post should read: On the Ubuntu side of extensions we are not packaging non-free extensions at this time. I havent had a chance to test lightning that much but i will test it this weekend before sending finished package out anywhere. Manuel, can you confirm, that your mozilla profile initially was created with netscape communicator too? No, I can't. My inital profile was created with Mozilla The Suite. It was not a very old version, because I don't have this computer for longer than a year now and I dist-upgrade my testing system daily. My guess is that the version was 1.3 or so. Do note that I had the same problem with FireFox 1.0 on Windows, in combination with the same Cyrus server, see one of my previous mails. So, I'm quite positive it's an upstream bug.
