Bug#994944: libgtk-4-bin: gtk4-broadwayd not available

2021-09-23 Thread Juan Pablo Ugarte
Package: libgtk-4-bin
Version: 4.4.0+ds1-5
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-Cc: juanpablouga...@gmail.com

Hi

Gtk 4 package currently does not build the broadway backend which is needed to
run Cambalache, a new tool to create gtk4 UI files.

I will eventually remove the dependency but not in the near future.

Is there any particular reason why it does not build in Debian?

Bug#822413: mysql-workbench: Unhandled exception on Data Export

2016-04-24 Thread Juan Pablo Jaramillo Pineda
Package: mysql-workbench
Version: 6.3.4+dfsg-3+b2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

When using data export the following error message is immediately shown after
clicking on the "Start Export" button:

Unhandled exception: Wrong number or type of arguments for overloaded function
'TextBox_append_text_and_scroll'.
  Possible C/C++ prototypes are:
mforms::TextBox::append_text_and_scroll(std::string const &,bool)
mforms::TextBox::append_text_and_scroll(std::string const &)

There are reports about this issue on MySQL Workbench Bugtrack[1][2].

It's possible to update the package to 6.3.6 version?

Thanks in advice.

statistics.m has not been updated. Here is a patch:

Thanks for your bug report. To clarify, since no example was given
here, this affects the statistics function when called with a row
vector or when the optional DIM argument is greater than 1.

A fix incorporating your patch has been applied upstream [1]. This
will be included in the upcoming 3.8.2 upstream release of Octave.

nonfree packages, as the one you mention, are not distributed.

Thank you very much. I will have it in mind for the next install.
The thing is that I did not install non-free firmware and all network
devices work perfectly.
I still wonder why the installer could not configure the network.

Thanks anyway for the information.

 Dear Maintainer,

It appears that the installation of the packages

   octave-java 1.2.8-6 amd64
   octave-io 1.0.19-1 amd64

together with the promotion of warnings to errors

   warning error Octave:str-to-num

triggers the error, as installation of octave-java makes the read of the
 octave-io package file

 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/octave/packages/io-1.0.19/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-api-v48+/PKG_ADD

mandatory, which in turn crashes with an error in the

 /usr/share/octave/3.6.2/m/pkg/pkg.m at line 274, column 3

A short script triggering the undesired behaviour directly is this one:

 --- snip ---
 #!/usr/bin/octave -q
 warning error Octave:str-to-num
 pkg (list);
 --- snip ---

I did expect the code contained in the octave-common packages to support all
 kind of
promotion from warnings to errors, as this helps developing clean code.

best regards, and thanks for packaging octave,

 Marc Cromme

I mean *ftp.cl.debian.org* (we control the dns and we point somewhere
 else in
case of issue), not of other Chilean mirrors.

 Thanks for the other details.

2009-01-27 Thread Juan Pablo Romero Bernal

When I use the setxkbmap command i get the following error: Error loading new

Bug#513297: x11-xkb-utils: When I use the setxkbmap command i get the following error: Error loading new keyboard description

2009-01-27 Thread Juan Pablo Romero Bernal
Hi,

I don't understand how you managed to lose xkbcomp. I just checked on
an archive mirror, and sure enough:
 -rwxr-xr-x root/root174112 2008-05-09 17:10:40 ./usr/bin/xkbcomp

Humm, i don't think has erased xkbcomp command by hand. In fact, the output
of dpkg -L x11-xkb-utils (in my box), don't show xkbcomp:

 jpromer...@obiwan:~$ dpkg -L x11-xkb-utils
...
.
 /usr/bin
 /usr/bin/setxkbmap
 /usr/bin/xkbbell
 /usr/bin/xkbevd
 /usr/bin/xkbprint
 /usr/bin/xkbvleds
 /usr/bin/xkbwatch

An unsual behavior, I think. Well, surely this problem already has fixed.

Bye,

Bug#401896: Extra dependency needed

Package: python-gtk2-dev

IMO python-gtk2-dev should depend in one of these packages python2.x-dev
because pygobject.h (python-gtk2-dev) include Python.h (python2.x-dev)

Bug#368229: Backends libraries missing?

2006-05-22 Thread Juan Pablo Ugarte
The problem is in libgbf-1-0 package from gnome-build source package

Looking at gnome-build sources it seems that libgbf-am.so and
libgbf-mkfile.so should be somewhere but they arent.

So gbf_backend_get_backends () returns NULL because no backend is found
and anjuta cant load the project :(

I you install gnome-build from sources, backends are installed
in /usr/lib/gnome-build-1.0/backends/ and everything works fine :)

Hello, if you look at the second post you will see that I already sent a
patch that fix this bug.

you just have to

apt-get source anjuta
patch the sources
dpkg-buildpackage
install patched package

I have sent a mail to anjuta-devel and they fixed it in CVS (for 2.0)

Bug#343998: Patch

2005-12-19 Thread Juan Pablo Ugarte
I found that anjuta Version: 2.0.1-2 has the same bug because both
anjuta-encodings.c are basically the same.

I notice this bug when libgtk was updated to version 2.8.9-2

I think this is because in version 2.8 gtk triggers a changed signal
on the selection object of the treeview when setting the model
(gtk_tree_view_set_model)

So when on_stock_selection_changed() try to access
anjuta_encodings_dialogadd_button (which is not set until the end of
anjuta_encodings_init) gives the segfault.

greets
