Bug#357714: Unstable Xorg broken
I am getting a missing fixed font message. I have wiped all xfonts and then resinstalled, this has failed to fix the problem. My xorg setting are as follows, I have no idea how to fix this. Section "Files" # ModulePath "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules" # FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/" # FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/" EndSection -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#374145: adding lp to /etc/modules worked for me...
Perhaps this could be set up as an install option that is asked. -- Ken Foskey FOSS developer -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#360843: problem still exists
Just to document a work around for those that do not know how to handle the broken package. After it breaks run: apt-get -f install This will install the packages that are not broken correctly and keep your system going. Maintainer, can we please resolve this conflict. perhaps moving one of them to man3 might help? -- Ken Foskey FOSS developer -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#362431: upgrade broke X server
I upgraded tonight and the xorg server broke. Complaining about missing bitmap and pcidata modules. As outlined I commented out the offending line: # ModulePath "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules" gdm and X now work successfully. Problem: This particular line should have automatically been removed for me by the upgrade process. Thanks Ken -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#295202: Please reopen
I worked around the issue but the bug remains. Evolution failed to acknowledge the failure to give correct password and should have reprompted for the correct password. My original report had the network traffic showing the core problem. Evolution should have removed the password when I deleted and redefined the account. It failed to do so. Evolution should have a 'forget password' button on the receive email tab in set-up. I could not easily find the actions - forget passwords option. This is a usability bug, not a direct bug. -- Ken Foskey OpenOffice.org developer -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#295202: found how to reset
I have worked around the problem menu- actions / forget passwords reset the password and I then re-entered the correct one. -- Ken Foskey OpenOffice.org developer -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
