It works for me, although I guess the package description should be changed to
say Firefox/Thunderbird instead of Iceweasel/Icedove, which don't exist
anymore.

Is it too late for the version in stable to be fixed?

My system just updated to Firefox 52.2.0, and passwords are no longer
autofilled. I found that after installing version 1.3 (from AMO), it works as
expected. The only issue is finding the source code. There is an SVN repo, but
it doesn't have the latest version. I tried contacting the author, but the
CAPTCHA on the contact page is broken.

Bug#848001: supertuxkart: Fix credits for Boom-boom-boom song

2016-12-15 Thread Legimet
Just to be clear, this affects the credits that show up after clicking the
"About" button in the lower-right corner of the start screen. To fix it, the
file data/CREDITS needs to be changed.

Bug#848001: supertuxkart: Fix credits for Boom-boom-boom song

2016-12-12 Thread Legimet
Package: supertuxkart
Severity: normal

In the credits (data/CREDITS), the Boom-boom-boom song should be
credited to its author, Keith Baylis aka Vim, rather than Matt Thomas.

I think python-pytest would have to be added as a build dependency.

Bug#838826: network-manager kills network on upgrade

2016-10-01 Thread Legimet
I have the same issue on stretch. Upgrading to 1.4.0-4 causes it to disconnect
(and I cannot connect again). I get repeated notifications that "The WiFi
network could not be found."
systemctl restart NetworkManager does not change this behavior, and I still
cannot connect. I am attaching the log file.

After downgrading back to 1.2.4-2, it immediately reconnects and everything
works.NetworkManager[9386]: [1475334473.5365] NetworkManager (version 1.4.0) is starting...

Bug#834204: libsdl1.2: Nonfree file: src/video/fbcon/riva_mmio.h

2016-08-12 Thread Legimet
Source: libsdl1.2
Version: 1.2.15+dfsg1-4
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.1

Dear Maintainer,

The file src/video/fbcon/riva_mmio.h has a nonfree license that does not
explicitly allow modification. The file is from xf86-video-nv, and has
subsequently been relicensed under the MIT/Expat license:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-nv/tree/src/riva_hw.h

It should be possible to use the newer version of the file.

Thanks,
Legimet

Bug#834195: unzip: recmatch in match.c has nonfree license

2016-08-12 Thread Legimet
Package: unzip
Version: 6.0-16+deb8u2
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.1

Dear Maintainer,

The function recmatch in match.c has the following nonfree license,
which forbids selling for profit:

Copyright (C) 1990-1992 Mark Adler, Richard B. Wales, Jean-loup Gailly,
Kai Uwe Rommel and Igor Mandrichenko.

Permission is granted to any individual or institution to use, copy,
or redistribute this software so long as all of the original files are
included unmodified, that it is not sold for profit, and that this copy-
 right notice is retained.

The function was taken from zip's util.c when zip was under a nonfree
license. Parabola has a patch that replaces it with recmatch from a
newer version of zip, under a free license:
https://git.parabola.nu/abslibre.git/tree/libre/unzip/match.patch
(though the part which changes allowed to aLlowed should be removed)

Thanks

Bug#810672: firmware-linux-free should include the ath9k_htc firmware binaries

2016-08-11 Thread Legimet
Since this firmware is now free software, it should be possible to use
AR7010/AR9271 wireless adapters using only packages from main. I hope the
firmware will be included in firmware-linux-free in time for stretch.

Bug#765651: plugin/taglist.vim has a license but copyright file says "no license"

2014-10-16 Thread Legimet
Package: vim-scripts
Version: 20130814

The file plugin/taglist.vim has the following license:

Permission is hereby granted to use and distribute this code,
with or without modifications, provided that this copyright
notice is copied with it. Like anything else that's free,
taglist.vim is provided *as is* and comes with no warranty of any
kind, either expressed or implied. In no event will the copyright
holder be liable for any damamges resulting from the use of this
software.

This is the same as license 2 in the copyright file, which should be indicated
instead of the current "no license."

Bug#758237: grace contains nonfree cephes library

2014-08-15 Thread Legimet
Package: grace
Version: 1:5.1.23-8
Severity: serious

The grace package contains code from the cephes library, which is under the
following nonfree license:

Some software in this archive may be from the book Methods and Programs
for Mathematical Functions (Prentice-Hall, 1989) or from the Cephes
Mathematical Library, a commercial product. In either event, it is
copyrighted by the author. What you see here may be used freely
but it comes with no support or guarantee.

The license isn't included in the source package (this doesn't seem to be the
complete cephes library) but you can find it in the tarball on the the cephes
author's website. [1]

There was a discussion back in 2004 about the author being willing to
relicense it under a BSD license [2], but nothing happened after that.

Bug#751879: tcl-trf contain non-free, non-distributable code.

2014-06-19 Thread Legimet
Hi,

Here are my own implementations of RIPEMD-128 and RIPEMD-160, under
the same license as the rest of tcl-trf. They are compatible with the
ones included in this package and a little faster as well. They should
go in generic/ripemd.
