In a fresh amd64 sid chroot, this xls is opened and shown correctly.
Will 2.4.1-6 propagate soon into testing?

Hi,

> Can you confirm?
I'll keep on trying to test it, but dependency tree
is broken badly on a fresh sid chroot:

  ncurses-base: Depends: libncurses5 (>= 5.6+20080713-1) but 5.6
+20080705-1 is to be installed
  openoffice.org-calc: Depends: openoffice.org-core (= 1:2.4.1-6) but it
is not going to be installed
   Depends: openoffice.org-base-core (= 1:2.4.1-6)
but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsuitesparse-3.1.0 but it is not going
to be installed
Depends: lp-solve (>= 5.5.0.10-10) but it is not
going to be installed

('apt-get -f install' would remove ncurser-base)

Bug#491094: openoffice.org-calc: Rotated texts are messed up in calc (xls)

2008-07-16 Thread Lorand Szollosi
Hi,

> Or can you also reproduce this on an i386 lenny with 2.4.1-3?
A fresh debootstrapped chroot install of i386 lenny +
openoffice.org-calc has just produced the same results.

Could it depend on the xserver + defoma as well?
(because these are still 64-bit here). Note however,
that gnumeric displays the same file correctly.

If I can do anything else, please let me know.

Yours Virtually,

Thanks for the prompt reply. So is it gonna be a library bug,
rather than an oocalc problem?

Bug#437856: evolution: Some phone entries of VCARDs are not displayed and not searched

2007-08-14 Thread Lorand Szollosi
Package: evolution
Version: 2.10.3-1
Severity: normal

When I synchronized my phone w/ Evolution using multisync, HOME and WORK
phone number entries did not appear in Evolution. Nor could I find these
the corresponding cards using the search box (~'search in any field' mode).
They do, however, exist in the database in
~/.evolution/local/system/.addressbook.db ,
and after opening an entry, these fields are also visible. But the lack of
search makes it completely unusuable for me :(. Any help would be appreciated:

Sorry, I've had that PC replaced a long time ago, so I cannot check it
anymore. As I remember, turning off all acceleration seemed to help,
but it was very slooow.

Bug#355866: xserver-xorg: SIS630 segfault when starting

2006-03-08 Thread Lorand Szollosi
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4
Severity: important

Right after I start X (i.e., x.org X-server) on a freshly
debootstrap'd etch, it segfaults. No log file is written.
Vesa driver works, but it's a turtle compared to the sis
driver. An old install of Debian unstable worked fine
w/ the sis driver (via xfree86)

I used the book class. Without changing anything in the system,
today (=after reboot) it worked, yesterday it didn't. :? Anyways,
it's clearly working now, so it cannot be a bug inside lyx.
Please pardon me for mis-reporting it.

Bug#309403: Interesting lyx bug - bad dvi when section starts w/ capital E

2005-05-16 Thread Lorand Szollosi
Package: lyx
Version: 1.3.4-2
Severity: important

You probably won't believe this bug (I neither did..), but I hope
it can be corrected soon. Sections starting with capital 'E' break
the dvi output. Steps to reproduce:
1., Create a new document.
2., Create a chapter - name it E.
3., Create a section - name it E.
4., Try to view the DVI - xdvi exits with error message:
xdvi.bin: Wrong number of bits stored: char. 69, font ecbx1728

I hope that this problem occurs only on my system (in this case, please
excuse me for reporting it). A workaround is to set noun style on the
first letter of sections that start with letter E.

Bug#306479: balsa crashes on a specific message

2005-04-26 Thread Lorand Szollosi
Package: balsa
Version: 2.3.0-2
Severity: normal

Balsa crashes on a specific mail (it's confidental so
not included publically; I can send it to the developer).
I believe it depends on the size of main message body.
I've gotten a 15MB mail to my local Mailfolder that
arrived properly, but then it was rejected by Gmail
to where I forward all of my mail. The rejected message
was sent back partially (>100KB main message body,
mime include in plain text).
