Bug#827522: [gjots2] Version 3.0.2 available

2018-08-23 Thread Marek Straka
Package: gjots2

Hi Rolf.

Is there any chance to get gjots2 in Debian 10 Buster? Because the Serie 2
depends on python-gnome2 that is no more there.
Bob Hepple made version 3.0.2 a year ago. This should depend on Gtk+3 /
PyGObject.
But yes - he is not answering any of bug reports for more than ten years.

Bug#837080: libpam-encfs: maybe wrong Documentantion in README.Debian.gz (fuse group)

Remember that:
 * User using this module must be member of 'fuse' group.
 * You may still need to enable user_allow_other in /etc/fuse.conf.
---
I have installed libpam-encfs to have decoded some encfs directories after
login through lightdm. First statement maybe wrong because I have no group fuse
in the system.
Second statement "enabling user_allow_other in /etc/fuse.conf" was necessary to
do.

Why gummiboot is installing to directory /boot/efi and not /boot/EFI as usual
standard?

In /etc/default/gummiboot and in /usr/sbin/update-gummiboot should be probably
GUMMIBOOT_EFI="/boot/EFI/" instead of GUMMIBOOT_EFI="/boot/efi/"

Windows installation set as default directory "EFI/"

Settings for connections are saved in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/
and not in user home directories.

So even user has encrypted home directory his wifi keys are unencrypted saved.
In case of stolen notebook invader has access to any of these wifi networks.

In my case there is also saved password for VPN network in [vpn-secrets] simply
in a plain format.

There is also any possibility to save different wifi networks for different
users.

Bug#739878: [kdenlive] rendering profile for Webm format

2014-02-23 Thread Marek Straka
Package: kdenlive
Version: 0.9.6-5
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

At the moment default profile for webm format is broken. Audio bitrate is wrong
and the video is not playable in Firefox. Even not in windows version of
firefox. It was o.k. some time ago because webm video I have rendered in the
past, have no such problems.

Should be used parameters for webm described here?
http://www.webmproject.org/docs/encoder-parameters/
But debian changed encoder from ffmpeg to avconv and documentations
http://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Project_Menu/Render/Render_Profile_Parameters
 is probably no more valid. Is now this description
http://libav.org/avconv.html relevant?

Example of rendering output (shown in terminal):
//STARTING RENDERING:  true , false , "/usr/bin/melt" , "atsc_720p_30" ,
"avformat" , "-" , "/tmp/kde-marek/kdenlives15702.mlt" , "/tmp/out.webm" , () ,
("acodec=libvorbis", "ab=128k", "ar=44100", "aq=50", "vcodec=libvpx",
"minrate=0", "vb=1000k", "aspect=@16/9", "maxrate=2000k", "g=120", "qmax=42",
"qmin=10", "threads=1", "real_time=-1") , 0 , 247
Started render process:  "/usr/bin/melt"   "/tmp/kde-marek/kdenlives15702.mlt
in=0 out=247 -profile atsc_720p_30 -consumer avformat:/tmp/out.webm progress=1
acodec=libvorbis ab=128k ar=44100 aq=50 vcodec=libvpx minrate=0 vb=1000k
aspect=@16/9 maxrate=2000k g=120 qmax=42 qmin=10 threads=1 real_time=-1"
Rendering of  "/tmp/out.webm" finished.

What is using kdenlive for rendering? Are the parameters from /usr/bin/melt
passed to libvpx? (http://packages.qa.debian.org/libv/libvpx.html)

Bug#739520: [libavcodec54] Corrupted webm files

2014-02-19 Thread Marek Straka
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Package: libavcodec54
Severity: normal

- --- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Rendering webm produce somehow corrupted video files, that are not playable in
Firefox. Even not in Firefox v.27 under Windows. You can reproduce it always
for example with
avconv -i video.mp4 -vcodec libvpx -b 700k -r 25 -acodec libvorbis -ab 128k
/tmp/video.webm
and then open video.webm in Firefox. It can not be even recognized as video
file. It is marked as audio file. If you try press a few times on the progress
bar somewhere inside of this stream it starts to play.
I have tried some webm video that I have rendered some months ago, all were
o.k. Also rendered webm videos with Mediacoder http://www.mediacoderhq.com/ are
o.k.

There is very similar bugreport in upstream (but quite old already)
https://bugzilla.libav.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341

libav is actually version 9.11-1

Musescore package is missing score fonts. Problem can be entered after
exporting to svg file and displaying it. There is defined text with style
family:MScore, which is not rendered properly.

It can be solved with manual instalation of mscore-20.otf to

Bug#708442: [approx] system upgrade to Jessie

2013-05-27 Thread Marek Straka

I have found the Problem. I have started update without network connection. In
the directory
/var/cache/approx/debian/dists/jessie
were then copied some zero length files like Packages.gz and other.
As described in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=655986

I have restored internet connection and deleted whole directory
/var/cache/approx/debian/dists/jessie
 started update again and it seems to work properly.

What will delete approx-gc now? Older packages that are no more in Jessie?
Although they are still present in Wheezy?

debian/pool/main/t/terminator/terminator_0.97-1_all.deb
debian/pool/main/t/terminator: empty directory

For example terminator_0.97-1_all.deb should not to be deleted from pool.

I noticed that there is now beside directory
/var/cache/approx/debian/dists/wheezy also new directory
/var/cache/approx/debian/dists/jessie. But surprisingly inside dists/jessie/
there is now except main,contrib and non-free also directory wheezy. As can be
seen in output of approx-gc above. This is wrong, or?

On upgrade to a new release must be deleted whole directory

Bug#700869: [thunar] Problems with dragging files to desktop

2013-02-18 Thread Marek Straka

Package: thunar
Version: 1.2.3-4+b1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

With right mouse click and moving file from Thunar to Desktop there is
shown only question mark and after releasing button happens nothing.
By moving in another thunar directory pops up menu with option
Copy/Move/Symlink

Left click an dragging works. But with Shift+Ctrl should make symlink
and it says only "File or Directory not found"

Someone gave advice that Desktop maybe managed by Nautilus. I looked for
Nautilus packages and I have only these packages:
"nautilus-dropbox", "libnautilus-extension1a" and XFCE there is no other
desktop installed on this PC.

Bug#442278: [icedove]

2012-12-11 Thread Marek Straka

Package: icedove
Version: 10.0.10-1

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

This Problem still persist. I have installed Opera and set symlink
/etc/alternatives/x-www-browser -> /usr/bin/iceweasel
but the Option in XFCE "Settings -> Preffered applications -> Webbrowser
-> Debian preffered Webbrowser" is ignored and url links in Icedove are
opened with Opera.

After setting symlink:
ln -s /usr/bin/icedove /usr/bin/thunderbird
is taken really "Debian preffered Webbrowser"

Bug#695675: [xfce4] application does not follow option "Debian preffered Webbrowser"

2012-12-11 Thread Marek Straka

Package: xfce4
Version: 4.8.0.3
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Hallo. I am opening this bugreport as addition to bugreport
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=442278
because I am not sure on which side is the problem

I have installed Opera but set after that
/etc/alternatives/x-www-browser -> /usr/bin/iceweasel

Icedove is ignoring setting in
"Settings -> Preffered applications -> Webbrowser -> Debian preffered
Webbrowser"

and url links are opened in Opera

Setting symlink
/usr/bin/thunderbird -> /usr/bin/icedove
solves the problem.

Bug#695469: [kdenlive] parameters in rendering profiles

2012-12-08 Thread Marek Straka

Package: kdenlive
Version: 0.9.2-2
Severity: minor

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Please could you specify where to find meaning of different parameters
in rendering profiles?

Is that here: http://libav.org/avconv.html

For example "webm" hast per default following parameters:

acodec=libvorbis ab=%audiobitrate+'k' ar=44100 aq=50 vcodec=libvpx
minrate=0 vb=%bitrate+'k' aspect=%dar maxrate=%bitrate*2+'k' g=120
qmax=42 qmin=10

Audio-bitrate and audio-quality given together? And "g=120 qmax=42
qmin=10" ?

#%PAM-1.0
authrequisite   pam_nologin.so
authrequiredpam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet_success
authrequiredpam_permit.so
@include common-account
session requiredpam_limits.so
session requiredpam_env.so readenv=1
session requiredpam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale
@include common-session
@include common-password

And add the autologin user in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
autologin-user=xyz

Was that forgotten by the packaging?

You can test it yourself with: apt-get install gdm3

/etc/pam.d/gdm3
#%PAM-1.0
authrequisite   pam_nologin.so
authrequiredpam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet_success
@include common-auth
authoptionalpam_gnome_keyring.so
@include common-account
session requiredpam_limits.so
session requiredpam_env.so readenv=1
session requiredpam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale
@include common-session
session optionalpam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start
@include common-password

/etc/pam.d/lightdm
#%PAM-1.0
authrequisite   pam_nologin.so
authrequiredpam_env.so readenv=1
authrequiredpam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale
#authsufficient  pam_thinkfinger.so
@include common-auth
authoptionalpam_gnome_keyring.so
@include common-account
session requiredpam_limits.so
@include common-session
session optionalpam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start
@include common-password

I have tried to add to lightdm pam-config:
authrequiredpam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet_success

and also changed

authrequiredpam_env.so readenv=1
authrequiredpam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale

to

session requiredpam_env.so readenv=1
session requiredpam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale

but it does not help. Do you still think it is PAM related problem?

Bug#667900: [lightdm] Does not start Xsession for user without password

2012-04-07 Thread Marek Straka
Package: lightdm
Version: 1.0.9-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Lightdm does not start Xsession with a user that have empty password in
/etc/passwd

Tested also with the option "nullok" in

# /etc/pam.d/common-account - authorization settings common to all services
account required pam_permit.so nullok

# /etc/pam.d/common-auth - authentication settings common to all services
auth required pam_permit.so nullok

# /etc/pam.d/common-password
password required pam_permit.so nullok

# /etc/pam.d/common-session
session required pam_permit.so nullok

As described here: http://wiki.debianforum.de/Accounts_ohne_Passwort_einrichten

There is message in auth.log:
Apr  5 22:52:54 dell-d620 lightdm: pam_unix(lightdm:auth): authentication
failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost=  user=gast

Tested also with gdm3. It asks for "pam_mount password:" and upon pressing
"login" button starts Xsession without any password.

Midori has started to crash on some sites. I have found that the directory
~/.cache/midori/web/ is 5GB and there is 30 files. After these files was
deleted Midori seems to works again without problems. Maybe there was something
wrong in these cache files. But anyway to be known Midori as lightweight web
