Bug#807850: u-boot-imx: Please provide support for riotboard

2015-12-13 Thread Markus Meier
Source: u-boot
Version: 2015.10+dfsg1-3
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

U-Boot contains support for the RioTBoard, an Open source evaluation
board based on an i.MX6 SOC. Please enable support for this board in
the Debian package.

It should be sufficient to add this line to debian/targets:

armhf imx riotboard u-boot.imx

Best regards,
Markus

Bug#747637: akonadi-server: upgrade to akonadi-12-1-1 does not work so kmail too

2014-05-16 Thread Markus Meier
Package: akonadi-server
Version: 1.12.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #747637

Same here...
The reason akonadi doesn't start is a failure while trying to alter
the MYSQL table schema. It trys to add an additional table named
TagRemoteIdResourceRelationTable.

SQL statement:
CREATE TABLE TagRemoteIdResourceRelationTable (tagId BIGINT NOT
NULL,
resourceId BIGINT NOT NULL, remoteId VARBINARY(255) NOT NULL,
FOREIGN
KEY (tagId) REFERENCES TagTable(id) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE
CASCADE, FOREIGN KEY (resourceId) REFERENCES ResourceTable(id) ON
UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE) COLLATE=utf8_general_ci DEFAULT
CHARSET=utf8;

The above statement fails with error 150 and akonaid doesn't seem
to handle this error correctly.

Bug#734627: wine: Current steam windows client could not be started

2014-01-08 Thread Markus Meier
Package: wine
Version: 1.6.1-13
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream patch

Dear Maintainer,

steam currently doesn't work with wine 1.6.x because of a bug within
wine 1.7.9 (or maybe 1.7.8?).
A patch has been submitted to wine git to address this problem.
The patch is a simple one-liner:
http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/blobdiff/e810a58494bd43e2344b5dfb65a0f47cf3ca2613..fd65b0a1c3f5f981cc110ca9e6a0edb6323e1296:/dlls/ntdll/nt.c

It would be great if you could include this patch. The Linux steam
client
doesn't support many games right now, therefore many people
still need to use the windows client with wine.

Kind regards,
Markus

Bug#570018: RFP: biblatex-biber -- A BibTeX replacement for users of biblatex, with full Unicode support, written in Perl

2010-10-15 Thread Markus Meier
Hi,

nice to hear that somebody is creating a Biber Debian package.
I am looking forward to testing your package as soon as you have it in
a working state.

Thank you very much.

Cheers
Markus

2010/10/4 Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐) danai.sae...@gmail.com

 Hi Markus

I've just seen your RFP for Biber, and am interested in creating a
 Debian package for it.
There are some Perl dependencies that don't exist yet in Debian, so I
will have to create a few Perl library packages as well.

I hope to get a working package (amd64) ready within a week or two.

 Cheers

Bug#570018: RFP: biblatex-biber -- A BibTeX replacement for users of biblatex, with full Unicode support, written in Perl.

2010-02-15 Thread Markus Meier
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: biblatex-biber
  Version : 0.4.3
Upstream Author : Francois Charette albuma...@users.sourceforge.net
* URL : http://www.biblatex-biber.sourceforge.net/
* License : GPL and Artistic License
  Programming Lang: Perl
Description : A BibTeX replacement for users of biblatex, with
full Unicode support, written in Perl.

With Biber it is no longer necessary to rely on BibTeX. The objective of
the first development phase is to have a robust and reliable emulation
of the BibTeX processor with the biblatex.bst style file. In other
words, given the same .aux file as input, biber should output a
functionally identical .bbl file as BibTeX.

Biber also introduces support for a new XML format tailored specifically
for biblatex data, unimaginatively called BibLaTeXML. It owes its
inspiration partly to the BibTeXML format, but it is far more complex.
RelaXNG and W3C schemata are provided, as well as a tool for converting
.bib files to biblatexml.

The advantages of no longer being dependent upon BibTeX are obvious:
full Unicode support, no memory limitations, extensibility, etc.

Cheers
Markus

Bug#569910: tuxguitar: Tuxguitar doesn't start: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/eclipse/swt/widgets/Control

2010-02-14 Thread Markus Meier
Package: tuxguitar
Version: 1.2-1.1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

The new tuxguitar version doesn't start anymore:

The first error (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME) is trivial to fix, you just have to
add the following lines to the tuxguitar start script (function
mozilla-guess()):

t=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.1
test -r $t/libxpcom.so d=$t

The second one however is very strange, maybe a package dependency is
missing or something like that.

the postinst script tries to call update-initramfs, which is neither a

Bug#432859: ksim: lm-sensors plugin doesn't show any sensors

2007-07-12 Thread Markus Meier
Package: ksim
Version: 4:3.5.7-3
Severity: normal

Hi,

I tried ksim 3.5.5-* and ksim 3.5.7-* and in all versions the lm-sensors
plugin doesn't work. The configuration window is empty so I can't configure
any sensor there. Every other application which has something to do with
lm-sensors like ksensors works well.
On my Gentoo system (KDE 3.5.7) running on the same pc ksim works as
expected.

With regards
Markus Meier

Bug#413934: minicom crashes if LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 is set - with LANG=POSIX it works fine

Can you give me a concrete example of the wrong configuration? I
can't trigger this assertion (on ia32).

I booted pfsense (Firewall derivated from FreeBSD) and tried to watch
the boot process via serial console. pfsense wants me to set the serial
port to 9600 8N1, but I firstly forgot this and kept the old setting,
which was 38400 8N1. I think the resultant garbage on the terminal
raised the foregoing error. I also did some further investigation and
tried this on x86 and x86-64, but the error appears on both computers.

I also found the following typing error:
When I leave minicom with strg a + x it says Modem zurüksetzen but
here a 'c' is missing, as it has to be labeled to Modem zurücksetzen.

If minicom is started with LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 and serial port is set wrong
(wrong Bps/Par/Bits), it crashes with the following error message:

xminicom: ../iconv/loop.c:425: internal_utf8_loop_single: Zusicherung

If I start it with LANG=POSIX it seems to work fine.

Bug#399603: kvm still doesn't build - #400549 not resolved

2006-11-29 Thread Markus Meier
Package: kvm
Version: 4-1
Followup-For: Bug #399603

Hi,

Bug #400549 still exists, because of an additional error in
debian/rules:

 cp -l qemu/x86_64-softmmu/qemu /build/buildd/kvm-4/debian/kvm/usr/bin/kvm
cp: cannot stat `qemu/x86_64-softmmu/qemu': No such file or directory

If you build kvm on a 64-bit system the correct path is not
qemu/x86_64-softmmu/qemu but qemu/x86_64-softmmu/qemu-system-x86_64;
the filename is wrong.

This is also the reason, I took an ifneq-else construct to solve this in
the patch appended in the first bugreport. I don't know if there's a
better solution for this case.

Cheers,
Markus

Bug#400549: kvm does not build on amd64 because of error in /debian/rules

2006-11-26 Thread Markus Meier
Package: kvm
Version: 4-1
Severity: important
Justification: fails to build from source
Tags: patch

Hi,

if I try to build kvm on debian-amd64, I receive an error message:

cp -l qemu/amd64-softmmu/qemu
/home/markus/build/kvm-4/debian/kvm/usr/bin/kvm
cp: cannot stat `qemu/amd64-softmmu/qemu': No such file or directory

Here is a patch that solves this problem, so you get a working kvm on
debian-amd64.

Regards,
Markus
