Bug#954337: sddm: Users with UID > 999999 not shown
Package: sddm Version: 0.18.1-1 Severity: important Hello, In SDDM login page I can't see active directory users that authenticate through SSSD and that have a high UID (~16). I set MaximumUid=17, but in "KDE System Settings" I see the number cut at sixth cypher (17), so I'm wondering if also for the check it could be the same. Now I changed SDDM theme and I can login with my AD user manually putting it into "Other users" page, but it's just a workaround. Re-enabling autospawn didn't work for me. I set auto-spawn and reinstalled removed packages, but this (only) didn't solve my problem. Then with a lsof /dev/snd/pcm* as suggested somewhere else I noticed these devices where locked by timidity. With a service timidity stop I finally solved my problem. Then I uninstalled timidity, I don't even know if I ever used it. I hope this helps. Bug#794216: [kwin-x11] Since yesterday windows decorations disappeared
Hello, a symlink from /usr/bin/kwin_x11 to /usr/bin/kwin brought back windows decorarions, thanks! How can I close the bug? Matteo - From:Scott Kitterman Sent:venerdì 31 luglio 2015 To: Matteo Calorio , 794...@bugs.debian.org Cc: Subject: Re: Bug#794216: [kwin-x11] Since yesterday windows decorations disappeared On Friday, July 31, 2015 12:34:25 PM Matteo Calorio wrote: > Package: kwin-x11 > > Version: 4:5.3.2-2 > > Severity: critical > > > > --- Please enter the report below this line. --- > > Hello, > > > > after last updates I can't see windows decorations anymore. Depending on how you're running kwin your likely to have better results if you wait for today's updates (which should include KDE 4 -> Plasma 5 if you're doing this in KDE). If you aren't running it from inside KDE, there should also be an updated kwin that sets /etc/alternatives/x-window-manager correctly. Finally, if you stay on KDE4, add a symlink from /usr/bin/kwin_x11 to /usr/bin/kwin and that should help. That will be included in the next kwin upload, but we're now caught up in the gcc5 transition, so it may be awhile before that's uploaded. If any of those thing help, please close the bug as we've got others that cover those cases. Scott K -- Matteo Calorio Linux & OpenSource systems O.R.S. s.r.l. V. Is it only the dashboard-based update that is > not working well for you? I'm speaking about plugins and themes updates, I agree about Wordpress being installed and updated in the Debian way. Some plugins don't work if I put them in /var/lib/wordpress/, most of themes doesn't as well. All they work if I put them in /usr/share/wordpress/ and then I make a symlink in /var/lib/wordpress/ to them. But then if I have to update them I have to move them back to usr, update, move to var and redo the symlink. Cheers, Matteo
Bug#732134: [wordpress] Themes and plugins not working
> I'll do it, but I don't know how many authors will do it... PS: in Wordpress forums I got this reply: "Installing WordPress using apt results in symlinks and non- standard configuration files that almost always prevent updating WordPress through the dashboard, and the WordPress versions found in Debian repos are rarely up to date. Serving your web applications from the web root solves those issues."

Then, when I have to update them, I have to move them back to first location (after deleting the symlink), to do the update, to move to the second location and to do the symlink again. Bug#714049: [kmail] Inline images not display correctly
Package: kmail Version: 4:4.4.11.1+l10n-3+b1 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hello, I use feed2imap to follow some feeds. Among others I follow some eBay RSS search results and feed2imap converts any item into an HTML email with the associated image inline. This way I get hundreds messages per day but when I read them with Kmail, images seems to be displayd randomly: sometimes the correct one, sometimes previous one... If I scroll through messages back and forward sometimes the same message displays a different image. A strange behaviour, it seems some ways images stay cached. Another point is that message expiration with permanent delete only for read messages, also deletes unread ones. Hi, RE>>> Can you please re-check with 2.3.0 from experimental? (got a completely RE>>> revamped chart module). MC>> Sure, thanks! RE> What's the result? I checked it right now: it seems better about another little oddity, but the problem I reported still remains. Hoping it helps, I attach a little example: IMHO in the left graph the sum is not clear, in the right one volume of A is bigger than it shoud be, volume of B seems positive and volume of C is smaller than it shoud be; then the sum is wrong...
