my mistake. this was before you explained to me how it works (who is responsible for the different OOo builds/development) thank you :-) 2009/12/10 Rene Engelhard > [ better late than never ] > > Hi, > > On Tue, Jun 24, 2008 at 11:24:55AM +0300, Nadav Kavalerchik wrote: > > i have reported this upstream: > > http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91004 > > You shouldn't have. > > > since i can still verify it on version 2.4.1 > > But only in ooo-build versions.. Bug#191092: an idea :-)
there is a possibility to initiate reportbug-ng with a query with the package's name. like this: "reportbug-ng iceweasel" so i suggest adding an icon in the common tab (near the package's name) and use the exact package's name to initiate the query in reportbug-ng (if it is installed.) currently i copy the package's name and paste it in reportbug-ng and it works file. BUT... we are lazy and this could be a nice (and seems easy) feature. what do you think ? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#464419: unable to set passive temperature trip point in thermal module
somebody broke into my house a few weeks ago and took the laptop :-( so i can not help with this issue anymore, sorry. maybe you should close it down if nobody else think it is an issue and if you have a newer version that seems to work fine on YOUR machine. lets hope it solved this issue for the type of machine i had. i recommend we close it and see if some needs to re-open it again ? 2008/12/25 Moritz Muehlenhoff > reassign 464419 linux-2.6 > thanks > > On Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 09:04:11PM +0200, Nadav Kavalerchik wrote: > > Package: kernel > > Version: 2.6.23-1-686 > > Severity: normal > > > > --- Please enter the report below this line. --- > > i am unable to set the temperature of the passive trip point in the > thermal > > module. > > > > laptop:/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZ1# cat trip_points > > critical (S5): 75 C > > passive: 75 C: tc1=1 tc2=2 tsp=100 devices=C000 > > active[0]: 65 C: devices=C1D7 > > active[1]: 60 C: devices=C1D8 > > active[2]: 46 C: devices=C1D9 > > active[3]: 40 C: devices=C1DA > > > > laptop:/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZ1# echo -n "75:70:65:60:46:40" > > trip_points > > bash: echo: write error: Input/output error > > > > (for now, i change cpu frequancy to lower cpu temperature with acpi > > temperature events and a bash script) > > Does this error still occur with more recent kernel versions? > > Cheers, > Moritz >
Bug#461979: kernel: "pci: cannot allocate resource region..." warrning or error after memory upgrade
we. Somebody broke into my house (two weeks ago) and stole my lovely Debian machine... So it is very hard for me to know ;-) I hope they did not remove the Debian install from it and that they are using it and enjoying it too (it was a good setup) some thing good might come out of this incident.after all. i will probably get some money from the insurance and get a new machine. I guess, if we see more activity (here) with this issue it is probably those who took the machine ;-) As you can read (see) i really needed to express my parting with this beautiful Debian machine but after all... i guess it is time to close this issue down. 2008/12/21 Moritz Muehlenhoff > On Mon, Jan 21, 2008 at 09:59:48PM +0200, Nadav Kavalerchik wrote: > > Package: linux-image-2.6.23-1-686 > > Version: 2.6.23-2 > > Severity: normal > > File: kernel > > > > after upgrading one of the two 256MB RAM sims i have (on my Compaq > presario > > 1500) to 1GB simm, i was starting to get these errors or warnings in the > > kernel's log file: > > PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing > > PCI: If a device doesn't work, try "pci=routeirq". Bug#480053: Switching b43 firmware
i think we should ask upstream b43 team to have the FW be placed in different folders so they can live together until one is redaundent and have the driver look for them in those different folders when it loads. ? Bug#480053: confirmed for 2.6.25-trunk
if only the firmwares could live together in one folder or different folders... then, the bash script can be triggered to install the appropriate FW each time we install a new kernel and clean unused FW if we no longer have a kernel that uses it. let's not forget that all this is documented in b43 website (http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/b43) so let see how this transit period between legacy and new b43 drivers goes :-) On Mon, Jun 9, 2008 at 6:09 PM, Rene Engelhard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > Nadav Kavalerchik wrote: > > i confirm that the new firmware is not compatible with 2.6.24 kernel > > > > but you could have the bash script install different firmware to > > different kernels ? can you ? > > I could, but what will happen when the kernel gets upgrded from .24 to > .25? b43-fwcutter won't be upgraded. i checked this on Fedora's OOo 2.3 and on a Localized Hebrew OOo (tk) 2.3.1 (Linux) i don't have windows at home only at schools (work) so... when UI is English the order is fine : [align-left] , [align-center] , [align-right] , [justified] , [LTR] , [RTL] changing to Hebrew UI i get: [RTL] , [LTR] , [justified] , [align-right] , [align-center] , [align-left] a mirror of the English UI if the toolbar order can be pre-set then this issue is simple but if a function is mirroring the English UI to Hebrew UI then... it still needs to be solved, since it is quite confusing :-) :-) On 4/23/08, Lior Kaplan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > currently, i worked around it by reordering the buttons locally. > > Please provide a patch. > > > i've just noticed that on Impress it is not fixed as in Writer. > > please see that Impress has the same main toolbar order as Writer does > > as regarding to the RTL,LTR,align-left/right/center buttons (icons) > > Actually in 1:2.4.0-4 it's also broken in writer, impress and calc. > > The paragraph direction icons are fine, while the text alignment button > are in the wrong order. Bug#463244: solved :-)
just upgraded to linux-image-2.6.24-1-686 and it worked fine :-) i had to down grade the firmware for it to work since i have misunderstood the instructions that where posted there three weeks ago (on b43 site : http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43 ) but i just saw that they change the instruction :-) so all is just fine. i have a pcmcia Linksys WPC54G (ver.1.2) PC Card (model 4306) 0x4320 0x1737 0x4320 this is the messages i was getting just after the kernel upgrade: b43-phy0 ERROR: YOUR FIRMWARE IS TOO NEW. Please downgrade your firmware. b43-phy0 ERROR: Use this firmware tarball: http://downloads.openwrt.org/sources/broadcom-wl-4.80.53.0.tar.bz2 b43-phy0 ERROR: Use this b43-fwcutter tarball: http://bu3sch.de/b43/fwcutter/b43-fwcutter-009.tar.bz2 b43-phy0 ERROR: Read, understand and _do_ what this message says, please. so i downloaded the firmware and the extraction tool and installed it. also, i am not getting the ide_cd errors (kernel panic) any more while loading this kernel. (i was getting them in the last 3 updates of the TRUNK versions) so...let us close this issue :-) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
