Bug#439063: Acknowledgement (upgrading lvm2 hangs)
I have rebooted the machine (proper shutdown). At boot I got the root prompt, as it couldn't mount the devices. vgdisplay and lvdisplay showed me all my volumes, but under /dev the vg directory was missing, and /dev/mapper was also empty, but the control file. Booted from rescue CD, mounted all LVs, chrooted, dpkg --configure -a, and that has fixed the problem. So I have a working machine again.
