Bug#1001185: flatpak: xdg-desktop-portal-gnome is not recommended
I understand. So I probably have reported against the wrong package here. I'm using GNOME and had to manually install the -gnome package after the separation with -gtk happened. I know too little about decencies to say if this was avoidable and which package mabye should dep/rec the -gnome package. Best, Sophie

If I am not mistaken, this is a release critical bug. Is there a fix for testing on the way as well? Dear Maintainer,
as pointed out in an other issue, there exists an important upstream release
for this package. From the 3.38.1 NEWS file:
Fix recording is lost when using space bar in name input
Fix ui becomes unusable and recording is lost after stopping a record
Remove m4a option since using it results in unusable recordings
At least the first two are regressions compare to current stable version. All
three imply data loss.
The relevant patch is very simple
