Bug#779468: apt-spy: creates an invalid sources list

All,
I was sure I abandoned apt-spy a while ago and agreed to remove it from
Debian. IMHO there is no a single reason with the new Debian infrastructure
to have a software like apt-spy.

 It doesn't seem to have error handling for the 404 Not Found, and
 creates an empty mirrors.txt. The empty mirrors.txt created on the first
 pass is then used on the second pass to create a broken
 /etc/apt/sources.list.d/apt-spy.list file.


  Also, it fails to update the mirror list due the the lack of
  http://http.us.debian.org/debian/README.mirrors.txt

 I think this is the main source of the problem. It seems that the
 mirrors no longer include README.mirrors.txt, and apt-spy needs to be
 patched to parse https://www.debian.org/mirror/list, which is in html
 format. Not sure how invasive that will be.


 FWIW, apt-spy hasn't been uploaded or had a commit in git 3 years...

but just liboocairo.so.0. I simple link solve the problem.

Felix acx100-source was removed from Debian as I'm unable to maintain as
I updated all my hardware and I need to use the old PC just to maintain
this package.

Hi all,
   if I understand correctly your interest in gsoap is only to get build
dependency suddisfied so I see we can evaluete two options, both to release 
2.8.3:
1) I can continue to experiment my packages changes with current release
   and if I succefully building all the packages I've planned I can package
   2.8.3 as soon as we have it and upload it with your help
2) we can go on with actual package structure build 2.8.3 and postpone my
   little revolution to 2.8.3+1.

If Mattias would like to take over the package becouse you are in a hurry
and I don't mind. I'm still interested in packaging for Debian but I know
I'm taking care of this package in the right way till now.

Hi,
I started working on this but. It looks like vbox API changed from the
release of vboxgtk. I now have a vboxgtk application loading without
errors but I'm having problems in VM property reading and in closing
vboxgtk. Still working to sort out what going on.

I think that it's better to ask upstream help too.

 During the installation of debian lenny I selected File Server and Print

As you can see gnome-audio just contains sounds file, as you can also
read in its description. 

gnome-sound is raccomended in gnome-desktop-environment package that is
part of the gnome-desktop task that is the default desktop task. 

So I think that if you what this bug is to be opened against
gnome-desktop-environment, as I don't think this is a bug at all I not
going to forward it to gnome-desktop-environment.

Hi,
I'm in the process of introducing long options at the command prompt
but I think that changing the short ones is not good as apt-spy is used
into scripts that must be changed if I'll change the meaning of options.

libcurl4-openssl bug that a apt-spy bug. Could you confirm if the

I'm working from spe SVN. The package I did was wrong. The correct
release is number is 0.8.4b. There is no tarbar and I did some errors
that messed up team SVN.

 Install appeared to be successful (no errors) but system won’t complete boot. 
 Appears to boot/load everything but then screen goes blank and stops. At this 
 point can’t seem to type anything to get it to move on. Only option is to 
 press Reset button (reboots system) or On/Off switch. If press On/Off switch, 
 screen temporarily reactivates and can see that system is at login prompt, 
 but can’t type anything. System then shuts down.
  
 I am a complete novice with Linux so have no knowledge to diagnose or resolve 
 this problem. Help!
 

Just type CTRL+ALT+F2 to go to a non graphical login screen. Login as
your user, become root, stop gdm (/etc/init.d/gdm stop) e try
reconfiguring X (dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg). Restart gdm
(/etc/init.d/gdm start). This will, probably, resolve your problem. 

It should be of help for us if you can send the content
of /var/log/installer.

 Could you guys tell which of both translations should be used?
 
 I have currently incorporated Luca's one in my copy of the package
 source because it was the first to be sent.

 As this is the second report I've seen that mentions having to run grub 
 installation twice (one on AMD64, one on i386) with recent daily builds, 
 I'm reassigning this to grub-installer and grub, and raising severity.
 Maybe the grub maintainers can help out with this.

 May someone wuickly test whether a recent image of the etch installer
 is now working on that hardware?
