I also use version, and for users on the same host is does not work.
Can You shed some light on how You change the commands that are run
from that menu?

Hmm. What if I the commands are set already? May I will check it first

I have myself signed certificate. So - no luck w/ lftp?!

My server supports SSL - I do successfully login via ftp-ssl.

I mean they are downloaded at 2-10 KB/s speed.

The problem is that they do not start downloading on resume standing
for 30 minutes at least. When I do ^K^S - they start.

I do not know about tracker connection - as I have no those torrents
now. - Same for slow torrents list.

Network works after resume - never was a problem.

> Could you also try with 0.9.2-1?

I do use it now but having no those torrents I can not say anything
about it now.

What I did for a work around - was to run openarena from terminal
window w/ xrandr command at its endunited w/ && - that caught the
broken resolution and returned it to previous one. So, unless we are
speaking about different things/realization - I think that xrandr
capable of restoring resolution on multi-head.

May, You will call for the command directly from Arena code - as a work
around until the time that the stated function will be
rewritten/corrected to fix the problem.

I do not think You should do this because it will not solve the problem
(read farther) and I suppose few people prefer that mode of playing.

> Sthu: if you configure your OpenArena to run in a window (Setup ->

As You have guessed right, it will bring performance to be exceedingly
low. :) Therefore, not acceptable.

As I said before, I have a work around for me, therefore no problem to
wait for a long time before the issue will be fixed in some future.

Thanks, for Your work, again!

It is the game - "Heroes of Might and Magic 3.5". I have yet another
app. and it works well. May, the reason is that not working app. is an
old one - existed since windoze 98, while the working one is up-to-date
app.

Yea, I've read the changelog, but I have what I have.

OK. I did not understand much w/ the DB, but here is my app. link for
the DB entry:

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7029

Does it mean, that I have no other option than to use the 1.0.0 version
in Debian?!

And that's what I have thought - having reviewed the last update - it
is from the same repo.

Hope, the maintainer soon will correct his/her mistake. - Until then it
is absolutely unusable (unrunnable).

Yes, as usual.

>Maybe you have some kind of DNS or IPv6 Problem?

Well. I believe I do not - as I use very same environment for both
connections - w/ privoxy and w/o.

Connections are so slow that I often get message "Connection timeout".

>Could you switch on logging (at least "debug 1") and check, whether
>there are unusual requests that may delay the wanted requests?

OK. I have done so, but my log dir. is empty still.

Meanwhile I have found the culprit - it is TOR. - I did not thinkg
about it - because I did empty the config. dir of privoxy, restarted
it, but it still opened slowly web pages. But trying w/ config.s and
turned off TOR forwarding - did the trick.

So, pardon for the noise. And thanks for Your work!

Package: avidemux

Dear Maintainer,

Saving MPEG-4 file in MPEG4-AVC results in corrupted picture: as if
frames are mixed. For example, at the play it shows like frames numbers:

1,2,1,2,1,2

then

3,4,3,4,3,4

and so on.

The moving objects are shaken all the time Whereas in the original
file - it is smooth.

Bug#651527: Farther experience w/ the tool related to the bug.

2012-01-19 Thread Sthu Deus
Good time of the day.

Farther experience w/ the tool revealed:

1. its bad disc usage - thus, having yet 152 MiB ahead the tool stops
splitting w/ the above error,

2. after which, immediately, it frees some ~400 MiB on the disc thus
ending up w/ ~550 MiB of free space - that's why my previous bug reports
- on a lot of free space at the time of error. - It is not the case at
the very moment of the error.

The fiel being splitted was of 1.3 GiB size.

Then, I have freed more than 600 MiB and retried the splitting, now it
exited w/ the error leaving 460 MiB at the very moment of error, and
freeing the space then was noticed up to 830 MiB.

Well. Seems buggy to me or need disc usage optimization at least.

Thanks for Your time/work.

Why do several people think so in Debian?! :o)

gksu/sux is not only used for that but to run it under another user,
simply - I have a user that I would accomplish all Internet
communications under. That's it.

In case You suppose it is not the qbittorrnet issue, but the gksu/sux -
then please tell me so, preferably w/ arguments - so I may argument my

Hmm. Let him try to run it using gksu - this is the way I run it. May
it will help.

For now I set root write access for the user home dir. - this made it
sure that the Downloads dir. will not be created, and qbittorrent works
- regarding the matter - as it should.

Probably, that's all I can add. If You will have any ideas - please let

Do I err in my supposing that the upstream bugs should be reported from

Or I should report it myself?

Yes. I have found the solution already w/ the package. Yet it helps
flac w/ its appropriate param.s not at all. :o)

I thnk the developers have either to remove the options from flac

Bug#651828: pidgin: Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory

2011-12-14 Thread Sthu Deus
Thank You for Your time and answer, Ari:

>I'm going to guess that this has something to with JACK/gstreamer. Can
>you run gstreamer-properties, try setting the output device to
>something else, and try running pidgin again?

I have no idea how to do that. - I do not use it at all.

>Also, please try to get a backtrace by installing pidgin-dbg and
>following the directions here:

I have removed all my data|config I have accumulated over time, and now
it seems pidgin works - so, probably just bad working w/ old created
config.s . If a crash will repeat - I will add to the report latter.

Thanx for the work!

Bug#649566: In OpenArena game the PCM works as expected

2011-11-23 Thread Sthu Deus
I have tried to specify for mplayer2 audio output drivers 'alsa' and
now I got the desired effect. So, I suppose ALSA works pretty well but
mplayer2 ceased for some reason to use it but chooses 'oss' output for
some reason - I will go and find why or rather specify all my
scripts/mplayer2_config to use alsa as output - hope the problem will
be gone permanently, then.

Thanks, Elimar, again, for Your work!

PS In case You suppose I can do anything useful for ALSA redarding the
matter, please tell me - I would.

OK. Attached the jpeg.

Hi again.

I have noticed that in OpenArena game the PCM works as expected. But it
has no effect on mplayer2. Therefore, we should close this bug report
and start mplayer2 one. What say ye?

I have purged the package - still no luck:

. alsamixer does not control PCM;

. each time mplayer2 starts - it has the same sound volume as if I did
not change it while playing.

Same symptoms.

I have found that sound failed for games too - it probably used PCM

though I did not upgrade kernel recently, nor ALSA packages or
audio-related. As I understand.

Bug#648813: warmux: Network game async-ed and stops playing aften

2011-11-15 Thread Sthu Deus
Package: warmux
Version: 1:11.04.1+repack-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

network game is almost impossible to play for the reson of being asyncronized
too often.
We play in local network of few machines with Internet access. Yet it often
interrupts
because of loosing syncronization. We use relatively modern LANs.

==

please note the line starting w/ AUDIO - there is zero-rate. And so it is for
every FLAC file I play.

I believe it happened since I migrated from stable to testing.

May be, but I use testing. And what You suggest is to use from Sid.

Or You suggest to drop the bug reports for testing packages?

In any way, I disagree w/ such policy - if in testing was a newer
version - no question, but You suggest me to move to unstable at all!
What will You recommend for the stable users?!

Therefore, I suppose reportbug misleads users telling them about
outdated packages when it is not so.

Bug#646219: lxde: Hangs for long time when starting.

2011-10-22 Thread Sthu Deus
Package: lxde
Version: 0.5.5-1
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

I use kdm for X-login. When my LXDE session starts it hangs for about 13
seconds. After which I get a message window:

couldn't communicate with already running daemon: Did not receive a reply.
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the
message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or
the network connection was broken.

after clicking on its OK-button, LXDE brings me up my session.

Please fix the bug OR tell me what I should configure to skip this long delay.

Thank You for Your work.

I have tried in single mode t orun startx - the problem was the same - only
messages added on start up - that KDE daemon crashed and kdeinit4 got seg.
fault.

Bug#563804: reportbug takes to account updates that haven't yet filtered.

2011-09-21 Thread Sthu Deus
Package: reportbug
Version: 6.2.1
Followup-For: Bug #563804

Dear Maintainer,

As I tried to file a bug report against cups (version 1.5.0-5) in wheezy,
reportbug takes to account as newer versions of cups the version from sid, that
is 1.5.0-6.
I suppose it should not to be.

Bug#605046: 3D support now works w/ the linux-image-2.6.32-bpo.5-amd64 2.6.32-26~bpo50+1

2010-11-26 Thread Sthu Deus
If it is essential, 3D support now works w/ the

linux-image-2.6.32-bpo.5-amd64 2.6.32-26~bpo50+1

since package

firmware-linux-nonfree 0.24~bpo50+1

has been installed.

But the distortion problem still remains.

Bug#524599: bastille-2.1.1-19 does not run on Debian-5.

2010-08-31 Thread Sthu Deus
I have the same problem on Debian 5 (stable.testing) up-to-date:

# bastille -c
ERROR: 'DB5.0' is not a supported operating system.
Valid operating system versions are as follows:
 'DB2.2' 'DB3.0' 'DB3.1' 'DB4.0' 'RH6.0'
...
ERROR: Invalid argument list:
 Usage: bastille [ -b | -c | -r | -x [ --os version ] ]
-b : use a saved config file to apply changes
  directly to system
 -c : use the Curses (non-X11) TUI

Bug#575379: opencity says `r300_emit.c:403: r300EmitArrays: Assertion....

2010-03-25 Thread Sthu Deus
Package: opencity
Version: 0.0.6.2stable-1
X-Debbugs-CC: sthu.d...@gmail.com

Bug report forwarded to the BTS by Paul Wise from:

http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-games-devel/2010-March/014979.html

When I invoke `opencity' without arguments from an ordinary shell prompt
it prints this:

 `r300_emit.c:403: r300EmitArrays: Assertion
`((inputs_bitset)[((_TNL_ATTRIB_COLOR0) / (sizeof (GLuint) * 8))] & (1 <<
((_TNL_ATTRIB_COLOR0) % (sizeof (GLuint) * 8' failed.', rather than the
expected running the window.

Here is a transcript:
