Bug#597212: konq-plugins: 'enable proxy' no longer works
Package: konq-plugins Version: 4:4.4.0-2 Severity: important When I try to enable proxy from 'tools' menu (tools - html settings - enable proxy) it doesn't work. If I go back in the 'tools' menu, 'enable proxy' is still unchecked and the proxy is off. However, enabling proxy from 'settings' menu (settings - configure konqueror - web browsing - proxy) works as expected and I can use it. If I enable the proxy from 'configure konqueror' and then just opening 'tools' menu and move the mouse cursor on 'html settings' it disables proxy, with no click on any checkbox. Other options in 'html settings' seem to work. I don't know if the problem is due to an upgrade of konqueror or something in KDE. Tried to purge and reinstall the packege with no results (as expected). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (200, 'experimental'), (120, 'testing'), (100, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages konq-plugins depends on: ii kdebase-runtime4:4.4.5-1 runtime components from the offici ii konqueror 4:4.4.5-1 advanced file manager, web browser ii libc6 2.11.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc11:4.4.4-14GCC support library ii libjpeg-progs 8b-1 Programs for manipulating JPEG fil ii libkde3support44:4.4.5-1 the KDE 3 Support Library for the ii libkdecore54:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform Core Library ii libkdeui5 4:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform User Interface Li ii libkfile4 4:4.4.5-1 the File Selection Dialog Library ii libkhtml5 4:4.4.5-1 the KHTML Web Content Rendering En ii libkio54:4.4.5-1 the Network-enabled File Managemen ii libkjsapi4 4:4.4.5-1 the KJS API Library for the KDE De ii libkonq5 4:4.4.5-1 core libraries for Konqueror ii libkparts4 4:4.4.5-1 the Framework for the KDE Platform ii libkutils4 4:4.4.5-1 various utility classes for the KD ii libqt4-dbus4:4.6.3-2 Qt 4 D-Bus module ii libqt4-network 4:4.6.3-2 Qt 4 network module ii libqt4-qt3support 4:4.6.3-2 Qt 3 compatibility library for Qt ii libqt4-script 4:4.6.3-2 Qt 4 script module ii libqt4-svg 4:4.6.3-2 Qt 4 SVG module ii libqt4-xml 4:4.6.3-2 Qt 4 XML module ii libqtcore4 4:4.6.3-2 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.6.3-2 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.4.4-14 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtidy-0.99-0 20091223cvs-1 HTML syntax checker and reformatte ii python 2.6.6-1 interactive high-level object-orie Versions of packages konq-plugins recommends: ii imagemagick8:6.6.0.4-2.2 image manipulation programs ii konq-plugins-l10n 4:4.4.0-2 plugins for Konqueror, the KDE fil konq-plugins suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#597212: konq-plugins: 'enable proxy' no longer works
OK, I've done some research on config files in .kde/share/config/ I've found this file: settingspluginrc with inside just one line: SavedProxyType=0 Rename that file with another name solved my problem (didn't try to restart KDE yet). 'Enable proxy' from 'tools' seems to work again. I don't know what script or program writes that file there, maybe it's just an old file that maybe annoys 'a new version of something' ... Is anybody able to reproduce this thing? thanks :) , -- cre 0xDD486692 signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
Bug#521655: I can confirm but...
Same problem here with fglrx 1:9-5-1 and libdrm2 2.4.11-1 With libdrm2 2.3.1-1 it's fine. Probably... is the bug in the ati BEAUTIFUL drivers? Tnx John, great job. -- KeyID: DD486692 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

Bug#430581: konqueror: access to root-files in home from system:/ gives weird privileges
Package: konqueror Version: 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-6 Severity: normal I opened konsole and wrote with nano (and root privileges) a text file and saved it in /home/USER/text.txt. ls -l /home/USER/text.txt gives -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5... Now If I login kde with USER, go to HOME by system:/ and open that file (kate will open it) and try to modify it I discover that I can do it (and save it automatically changing the owner to anuser)! If I do the same simply opening konqueror from the start menu or from /home/USER/ I can't modify that file.
