Package: hugin Version: 2013.0.0~beta1+dfsg-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, hugin crashes on startup after showing the splashscreen. Bug#700808: emacs: editing text file containing korean quickly results in 100% cpu usage
Hi Rob, I tried doing exactly the same (so without using my .emacs file). By just pressing the arrow key to scroll either left or right or up and down I was at random times getting 100% CPU usage, although the recovery was a lot quicker than the very long hangs I was getting with my previous usage (which uses my .emacs file). I have posted a screenshot with emacs and top showing CPU usage. http://www.kitamura-studios.com/pix/emacs_korean_700808.jpg Just to note that I only get this hang with editing files with Korean text. My system is all 'testing' apart from darktable which is from 'unstable'. Hope this helps, please let me know if there is any other information that I can provide. best rgds Kie On Fri, Mar 01, 2013 at 08:24:27PM -0600, Rob Browning (r...@defaultvalue.org) wrote... > kie writes: > > > An example Korean file that gives this problem is here: > > http://www.kitamura-studios.com/ko-index.shtml > > Can you explain how I might reproduce this? Bug#700808: emacs: editing text file containing korean quickly results in 100% cpu usage
Package: emacs Version: 45.0 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I use emacs for editing all my text files, it is awesome. However when editing files with Korean in them it suddenly becomes extremely laggy and top shows a very high CPU usage. This occurs as son as I have opened the file, even before I have started hangul mode to type Korean. An example Korean file that gives this problem is here: http://www.kitamura-studios.com/ko-index.shtml I don't get this problem editing Chinese files. I am working around this problem by using libreoffice to edit files that contain Korean at the moment. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_HK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_HK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages emacs depends on: ii emacs23 23.4+1-4 emacs recommends no packages. emacs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#698349: [Pkg-erlang-devel] Bug#698349: wings3d: importing .stl file fails (for all .stl files)
Hi Sergei, thanks, that solution works for me. Am using meshlab to convert the stl file as suggested. I didn't know that there was more than one type of STL file. Yes, the flickering was related to the xorg driver, (now fixed was only apparent in wings3d out of the programs I was using). thanks very much. I think that this bug could be closed now.
