Bug#650711: Similar issue using a local Qemu/KVM and Spice/QXL
Hi, I'm running Debian Testing (up-to-date) on both, the vm and the host. During the start, there is no problem. But from time to time (every 10 minutes or so), the GUI hangs. And in a way, that the Gnome 3 (Gnome Shell) desktop is also badly affected. It still runs, but I can no longer switch windows. I need switch to a tty and kill the virt-manager process. After that, the desktop is as it was before and I can restart virt-manager. The VM seems to be not affected at all. When running virt-manager with „--debug“, there is no new output after the GUI hangs. It only reads the viewer has connected via Spice. Please try the latest kernel package, linux-image-2.6.32-3-686 version 2.6.32-9, from sid. Also can you say what was the last kernel version in which the Ethernet driver worked on this computer? It seems to be still present. But I just realized that if I boot with activated *W*LAN eth0 is available, if I boot with deactivated WLAN eth0 is not available. Is the kill switch also for the Ethernet adapter? =) Using the kill switch on runtime seems to only kill the WLAN but not the Ethernet adapter. -- GMX DSL: Internet, Telefon und Entertainment für nur 19,99 EUR/mtl.! http://portal.gmx.net/de/go/dsl02 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#573610: linux-image-2.6-686: Bluetooth on EeePC 1005ha not usable
Subject: linux-image-2.6-686: Bluetooth of EeePC 1005ha not usable Package: linux-image-2.6-686 Severity: important The built-in Bluetooth dongle of the EeePC 1005ha seems to be not usable. If I add acpi_osi=Linux to the kernel command line, there is a kill switch, but I can not turn the device on. The LED (for WLAN and Bluetooth) is turning on and off, if I try to turn the device on and off. Turning the device on and off in the BIOS seems to have the same effect as with the kill switch. Using an external USB Bluetooth dongle works fine. Any ideas? Bug#573607: linux-image-2.6-686: No eth0 on EeePC 1005ha with acpi_osi=Linux
Please try the latest kernel package, linux-image-2.6.32-3-686 version 2.6.32-9, from sid. Ok, I will try. Also can you say what was the last kernel version in which the Ethernet driver worked on this computer? Ethernet works fine with 2.6.32-5 from testing, as long as I don't add acpi_osi=Linux. This is the only kernel I have used on that netbook. Without acpi_osi=Linux, the fn keys and the WLAN kill switch are not usable.
