Bug#296544: kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686: i get many scsi: unknown opcode 0x80 messages from the kernel
Florian Reitmeir writes... since the last upgrade i get many scsi: unknown opcode 0x80 from the kernel. My only SCSI device is a 3ware 7006 IDE Raid Adapter. I use the smartmontools to monitor the 2 ide disks. I see this too on my my system with a 3ware 7410 card and with the smartmontools installed. I think maybe it's just that the 3ware card (which appears as a scsi device) doesn't support the right scsi opcode for querying that info. If I stop the daemon provided by that package the errors stop. I only installed smartmontools recently and noticed this problem right away. Has it ever worked for you?
