Bug#312386: amarok: SQLite empty

2005-09-03 Thread Michael Biebl
Compiling amarok with included sqlite solves this problem. That's the
easiest fix I could find. I guess there are some incompatibilities
between the sqlite version shipped with debian and the one amarok expects.

What about amarok 1.3.0-1 in sid? Does it suffer the problem?

  Thanks,

Unfortunately yes, 1.3.0-1 is still affected by this problem.
In order to get amarok working again I grabbed the source and removed
"--without-included-sqlite" from debian/rules. I haven't tested yet but
I think libsqlite3-dev in debian/control could then be dropped too. This
makes the binary approx. 200kb bigger but in return it makes amarok work
reliably.

Cheers,
Michael

Seems to suffer. I just upgraded to 1.3.0-1, and now amaroK seems to
scan my collection (collection_scan.log doesn't have any errors), then
just shows the "Hello amaroK user!" context sidebar with the "Build
Collection..." button. Nothing helps, the collection always stays empty.
It doesn't seem to have touched the "statistics" table though.

What kind of weird sqlite mod does amarok use, anyway? =/
