Bug#351232: better handling of word boundaries

Instead, why don't you wdiff the result of running dvi2tty on the .dvi files? What if I cannot produce the .dvi files because my publisher has all the periphery? (Hmm, why in earth would you want to create a non-free document? :-) Even if you can't produce the exact final .dvi, I would try to produce a .dvi anyway (maybe by using an alternative periphery). How about adding a new option that deals with language words, rather than whitespace-separated chunks? Would it be too difficult? I am not saying it should be the default... I don't know, really. Would rewriting from scratch count as difficult? :-) Anyway, this was already in /usr/share/doc/wdiff/TODO: [...] * Select by options exactly what is whitespace. Package: wdiff Version: 0.5-16 Severity: wishlist If using wdiff on TeX files, it's really annoying if a change involves attached TeX tags. E.g.: This link\footnote{\link{http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/{\tilde}sgtatham/bugs.html}} If I wanted to capitalise link, wdiff would say that link\footnote{\link{http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/{\tilde}sgtatham/bugs.html}} was deleted and Link\footnote{\link{http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/{\tilde}sgtatham/bugs.html}} added. It should just know that [^[:alnum:]] marks the end of a word. -- .''`. martin f. krafft [EMAIL PROTECTED] : :' :proud Debian developer and author: http://debiansystem.info `. `'` `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing a system Invalid/expired PGP (sub)keys?
