Bug#526432: quagga: Peers not recognized due to v4-mapped addresses

2009-05-26 Thread Martin List-Petersen
Package: quagga
Version: 0.99.11-2
Followup-For: Bug #526432

I'm seeing the exact same problem after an upgrade from 0.99.10 to 0.99.11-2

2009/05/26 21:48:16 BGP: [Event] BGP connection from host :::193.242.111.50
2009/05/26 21:48:16 BGP: [Event] BGP connection IP address
:::193.242.111.50 is not configured

It only seems to affect one host out of 29 in my case.

Kind regards,
Martin List-Petersen

Bug#526432: quagga: Peers not recognized due to v4-mapped addresses

2009-05-01 Thread Michael Bussmann
Package: quagga
Version: 0.99.11-1+b1
Severity: normal

Hi,

After upgrading to 0.99.11-1+b1 I noticed that on some of my routers bgp
sessions are not coming up again. The sending side gets connection reset
by peer, the receiving side logs

| 2009/04/30 22:49:29 BGP: [Event] BGP connection from host :::193.22.253.65
| 2009/04/30 22:49:29 BGP: [Event] BGP connection IP address
:::193.22.253.65 is not configured
| [...]

The relevant part of bgpd.conf:

| neighbor 193.22.253.65 remote-as 65502
| neighbor 193.22.253.65 ebgp-multihop 255
| neighbor 193.22.253.65 next-hop-self
| neighbor 193.22.253.65 prefix-list announce in

0.99.10-1lenny1 worked fine.

Oddly enough this happens only on a couple of routers where peers are connected
via a OpenVPN tun device.

Cheers,
MB
