Bug#587025: salome: Packaging Code Aster module for Salome

An archive made of binaries is available with Salome 5.1.3, Code Aster 10.1 and the ASTER module for Salome. The latter allows to use some of the Code Aster functionalities from Salome. This is terrific. As Salome is already packaged and Code Aster is on the way [2], the Salome Meca platform ships only three relevant modules written in Python: - ASTER (allowing to run the Code Aster solver) - EFICAS (for editing Code Aster files) - PAL (an EFICAS dependency) Their sources should be published in a near future on the Code Aster website [3] and it could then be interesting to bring them to a salome-meca package. Great. If this is a separate source code base from Salomé, then it should probably be a separate package, and we can rename this bug to an RFP (request for package) or ITP (intent to package). Christophe, you mentioned that you are working on Salomé-MECA. Where do things stand? I add just started looking at Salomé-MECA... which is only available as binaries right now. I am focusing on getting a clean aster package with the help of upstream. Just a remark I tried to git-builpackage petsc on my squeeze box and I had some errors (malformated debian/changelog,...).
