  Sorry, but I don't see how that has anything to do with zathura. zathura

  package is providing /usr/bin/lp).

 I think it's time to close this bug. Since 0.1.0 zathura is using new
 printing code, so this should be fixed in 0.1.1-1 if it was a bug in
 zathura.

 (I still don't think this is a bug in zathura but without more info I
 don't see any value in keeping it open any longer.)

Sebastian,

Sorry that I did not send in more information at the time. This bug
report got lost in all the others things I was doing.

Recently started to use zathura again. Can verify that if it was a bug
in zathura, it is no longer there. As printing works fine with version
0.2.2-1.

Thanks,
Michel

Bug#598248: foomatic-db-engine: Takes a long time to spool/print after recent upgrade

2010-09-28 Thread Till Kamppeter
The 2 PPD files are absolutely identical. Are you sure that you have
tested printing the same file in the two cases (please attach the file)
and that you have downgraded only foomatic-db-engine (not any other
package like foomatic-filters, ghostscript, ...)?

Bug#598248: foomatic-db-engine: Takes a long time to spool/print after recent upgrade

2010-09-27 Thread Till Kamppeter
I do not see any functional changes between foomatic-db-engine 4.0.4-2
and 4.0.4-3. Can you downgrade to 4.0.4-2 to see whether this fixes your
problem? Can you attach your printer's PPD file (in /etc/cups/ppd/) once
with 4.0.4-2 installed and once with 4.0.4-3 installed?

Which driver are you using?

From cups, Driver: Brother HL-2170W Foomatic/pxlmono (recommended) (grayscale,
2-sided printing). Attached is the PPD file using 4.0.4-3. I will downgrade to
4.0.4-2, send you the results and PPD file shortly.

I just downgraded to 4.0.4-2 and spools/prints right away. Not sure it's
relevant, but works fine in OS X. I attachment the PPD from 4.0.4-2. If you
need any more info let me know.
