Bug#709492: R: Re: Bug#709492: Numdiff doc is non free
All versions of GFDL are not compatible with Debian. Please switch the numdiff docs to the GPL or if you want to stick to GFDL, then skip the optional invariant sections clause. We will then repackage 5.6.2 with the new numdiff doc license. Hi all, It is not a problem for me to remove the optional invariant sections clause. Next month I am going to release a new version of Numdiff with this change. Would it help if I switched from GFDL 1.2 to GFDL 1.3 or later? Bug#709492: Numdiff doc is non free
Hi there, it turned out the GFDL is incompatible with debian policies, see here: http://www.debian.org/vote/2006/vote_001 Would it be possible to switch the numdiff docs to a different license such as the GNU General Public License ? Or at least to not include the optional invariant sections clause ? Otherwise we may be forced to remove those parts from the debian package ...
