it is the multiedit plugin
If I remove it I don't have more crash :-)

It's in the shell panel, next to activities: click on "gedit".

yes, I still have this issue with version 3.8.3-4

I found that others people have this problem and they have found that the
cause are gedit plugins.
For example take a look at this Ubuntu bug report:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1173705

but I don't know how to try disabling gnome plugins. In the gedit menu
there is no anymore the Preferences option.

clic the 'x' button for closing the opened tab

the tab will be closed and gedit do not crash
