Bug#756886: Python 3 package
(dropped Andrei from CC as not sure if Andrei was interested in djangorestframework or just trying to fix an obvious meta data error in the BTS) On 9 August 2014 00:58, Kouhei Maeda wrote: > But I have never use svn and svn-buildpackage. > I was hesitant for that. > Although I have normally use git-buildpackage and Git > > I will change the maintainer to Python Modules team, without applying > svn-buildpackage when I prepare a Python3 package. > Have a look at the discussions on debian-python, the issue of git was raised again. Unfortunately the subject line was not updated to reflect the change in topic. Discussion seems to start at this post: https://lists.debian.org/20140806091809.5c942...@anarchist.wooz.org In short, everyone seems to agree that using git is a good idea, but they are not sure which workflow to standardise on. I have noticed that python-django in experimental is team maintained and now using git. You might want to talk to Raphael Hertzog on what he did. -- Brian May

But I have never use svn and svn-buildpackage. I was hesitant for that. Although I have normally use git-buildpackage and Git I will change the maintainer to Python Modules team, without applying svn-buildpackage when I prepare a Python3 package.
