Bug#927850: unblock: htslib/1.9-11
Hey Andreas, I think a helpful ftpmaster person converted my simple request into "doing the right thing" about the reverse-(build-)deps as well. I will repeat the request with references to both this bug and that previous request. -- Michael R. Hi Michael, it seems you found a clever way to ask ftpmaster for removal of a set of packages for i386 architectures in #914991. Would you mind to do this again / update the current versions of those packages. For the next five days I'm occupied with non-Debian real life and it would be great if this issue would be settled. Kind regards Andreas. Hi Paul, I have no idea why the packages re-appeared after #914991 was closed. Is there any way to easily ask ftpmaster to redo the removals that where done before? Kind regards Andreas. Hi Andreas, On 29-04-2019 20:41, Paul Gevers wrote: > On Fri, 26 Apr 2019 19:05:00 + Niels Thykier wrote: >> Andreas Tille: >>> Please unblock package htslib > >> Please include the bug id of that removal bug in a follow up and remove >> the moreinfo bug when the removal bug has been filed. > > That happened, so unblocked. Thanks. But unblocking isn't enough. There are more packages on i386 that need removal. ivodd already added a hint hint to get more information [1]. It seems at least augustus, delly, fastqtl, nanopolish, python-cyvcf2, python3-cyvcf2, qtltools, samtools, segemehl, bio-tradis, htslib-test, libhts-private-dev need something removed, but I think there is more (and ivodd hinted that this may be arch:all packages on i386). I'll try to get a more complete picture, but I would appreciate your effort as well. Could you please take care of the removal requests (maybe if the reverse dependent packages are removed as well, the list is complete)? Without this removal, htslib cannot migrate to testing regardless of whether we unblock it or not. Please include the bug id of that removal bug in a follow up and remove the moreinfo bug when the removal bug has been filed. Thanks, ~Niels

Dear Release Team, Please consider this unblock request, it is a minimal change and prevents nearly 70 packages from being removed from testing. Thanks!
