Could one of you report this issue and the proposed change to the gegl
developers?

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gegl/issues

The Debian GNOME team is a bit short on developers right now.

Thanks,
Jeremy Bicha

Bug#940190: gegl: FTBFS on mips64el and mipsel while it did built before

2019-09-13 Thread Bernhard Übelacker
Dear Maintainer,
I guess this issue caused also gegl not transitioning to testing and
therefore another issue within the package gimp e.g. bug #939768
and a few more.

I tried to reproduce it in a qemu VM for mips64el
and hit the same issue.

Running just the mentioned test it returns a timeout message.
Therefore I guess that this test has just a too short timeout.
Increasing it from 3 to 40 seconds make it succeed also in my
(very slow) VM.

Kind regards,
Bernhard

Bug#940190: gegl: FTBFS on mips64el and mipsel while it did built before

Dear maintainer,

The last build of gegl failed on mips64el and the last binNMU on mipsel
failed with the same error. I noticed because there is currently a glibc
transition going on and glibc can't simply migrate because it would make
gegl not-installable. It's also hampering the libopenexr24 transition.

Please look into the situation. It fails during the test (which is not
very verbose).
