Thanks for the notice - excellent service!

pytest 6.0.2 was uploaded to unstable today, so you can co ahead and
drop the patch whenever it is convenient for you.

Best,
Christian

Ah, now I see why it works.

Sounds reasonable. I'll rebuild python-pytest-asynci for pytest 6
locally, for transition work.

Thanks,
Christian

Upstream pytest-asyncio 0.14.0 indeed supports pytest 6, but not pytest
4.6.11 currently in Debian unstable.

Debian package python-pytest-asyncio includes a patch to restore support
for pytest 4.6.11, but unfortunately that makes it incompatible with
pytest 6.

I guess the way forward is to first release pytest 6 to unstable and
only then drop the patch in python-pytest-asyncio.

Hi,

python-pytest-asyncio has a restriction on pytest << 5.4.0, which
conflicts with pytest 6.0.2, currently available in experimental. Please
remove this restriction, as it no longer seems to apply to v0.14.

In fact, it looks as if in the meantime, the restriction should even be
>= 5.4.0 (but everything appears to work fine with the current 4.6.11).

Thanks,
Christian
