Bug#337283: Subscription to [EMAIL PROTECTED] successful

2005-11-09 Thread LI Daobing
in /usr/share/doc/trac/UPGRADE.gz

[snip]
>From 0.8.x to 0.9
-
[snip]

If you have PySQLite 2.x installed, Trac will now try to open your SQLite
database using the SQLite 3.x file format. The database formats used by
SQLite 2.8.x and SQLite 3.x are incompatible. If you get an error like "file
is encrypted or is not a database" after upgrading, then you must convert
your database file.

To do this, you need to have both SQLite 2.8.x and SQLite 3.x installed (they
have different filenames so can coexist on the same system). Then use the
following commands:

   mv trac.db trac2.db
   sqlite trac2.db .dump | sqlite3 trac.db

After testing that the conversion was successful, the `trac2.db` file can be
deleted. For more information on the SQLite upgrade see
http://www.sqlite.org/version3.html.

I don't think so, for example, I have a program need the xtc io part,
so I need to build-depends on gromacs-dev, but you will find it's not
enough, I also need sfftw-dev and something others to build it.

a similar case:

 $ apt-cache show libgtk2.0-dev | grep Depends
Depends: libgtk2.0-0 (= 2.8.9-2), libglib2.0-dev (>= 2.7.1),
libpango1.0-dev (>= 1.10.0-2), libatk1.0-dev (>= 1.6.1-2),
libcairo2-dev, libx11-dev, libxext-dev, libxinerama-dev, libxi-dev,

I know howto avoid this bug, for example: use `export
GTK_IM_MODULE=xim' instead of `export GTK_IM_MODULE=scim', the later
one is suggested in the README.Debian in the scim package.

Thanks.

for example, I use a deb-src source from mentors.debian.net, there isn't

Bug#336405: libswt3.1-gtk-java: eclipse3 can't live with azureus

2005-10-29 Thread LI Daobing
Package: libswt3.1-gtk-java
Severity: normal

eclipse3 depends on libswt3.1-gtk-java
libswt3.1-gtk-java conflicts libswt-gtk-3.1-java
azureus depends on libswt-gtk-3.1-java

so, if I install eclipse3, I can't keep azureus.

How about let libswt3.1-gtk-java provide libswt-gtk-3.1-java, so I can
both of them. Thanks.

2005-11-03 Thread LI Daobing
Package: make
Version: 3.80-11
Severity: normal

Hello,

in '(make.info.gz)Catalogue of Rules, there is a paragrpah:

Making Lint Libraries from C, Yacc, or Lex programs
 `N.ln' is made from `N.c' by running `lint'. The precise command
 is `$(LINT) $(LINTFLAGS) $(CPPFLAGS) -i'.  The same command is
 used on the C code produced from `N.y' or `N.l'.

but there is no section in '(make.info.gz)Implicit Variables' to
describe LINT and LINTFLAGS. While others (e.g. CC, CFLAGS) have.

Thanks.

Bug#340160: RFP: pymmlib -- Python Macromolecular Library

2005-11-21 Thread LI Daobing
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: pymmlib
  Version : 0.9.7
  Upstream Author : Dr. Ethan Merritt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Jay Painter <[EMAIL
PROTECTED]>
* URL : http://pymmlib.sourceforge.net/
* License : The Artistic License
  Description : Python Macromolecular Library

The Python Macromolecular Library (mmLib) is a software toolkit and
library of routines for the analysis and manipulation of macromolecular
structural models, implemented in the Python programming language. It is
accessed via a layered, object-oriented application programming
interface, and provides a range of useful software components for
parsing mmCIF, and PDB files, a library of atomic elements and monomers,
an object-oriented data structure describing biological macromolecules,
and an OpenGL molecular viewer. The mmLib data model is designed to
provide easy access to the various levels of detail needed to
implement high-level application programs for macromolecular
crystallography, NMR, modeling, and visualization. This includes
specialized classes for proteins, DNA, amino acids, and nucleic
acids. Also included is a extensive monomer library, element library,
and specialized classes for performing unit cell calculations
combined with a full space group library.

2005-07-20 Thread Li Daobing
Package: mozilla-firefox
Version: 1.0.5-1
Followup-For: Bug #288761

confirm this bug in firefox 1.0.5-1 and a solution to this bug

1. backup your bookmark
2. sudo aptitude purge mozilla-firefox
3. sudo rm -rf /etc/mozilla-firefox
4. rm -rf ~/.mozilla
5. sudo aptitude install mozilla-firefox
6. firefox
   Don't import any thing.

I don't know whether every step is necessary, but this works for me.
Some other bugs also disappeared, for example, I couldn't install extension
for https URL(only can install from http URL or local file) .

Good Luck

I will not prepare this patch because now groff Render "-" as
HYPHEN-MINUS (ASCII 0x2D) by default[1]. So now I can view, copy your
