Fair enough. Please find attached a patch that converts the
src/res/oc32.png icon to oc32.xpm, installs the file in the arch-indep
package, cleans it again and adds an icon entry to your menu file.

I have also noticed that your desktop file icon isn't displayed with the
latest version of openclonk in unstable. It also appears that upstream's
latest desktop file points to an openclonk image file which doesn't
exist either. I guess one of the high resolution oc*.png files in
src/res will do.

Bug#738142: New upstream release 0.6.0, watchfile needs updating

Our latest release is 0.6.0, for which we also sanitized our downloads

Hello Marko,

thanks for your reminder. I am aware of the latest extremetuxracer
release and I have prepared a new release last year.

http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-games/extremetuxracer.git

I asked the same question in your forum at sourceforge.net (user
apoleon), but didn't get much feedback back then.

I really like version 0.6.0 because the code is cleaner, the game needs
less dependencies and it appears it also fixes some longstanding Debian
bugs here.

However my main concern is that you support less tracks than in version
0.4.x. Please have a look at

http://packages.qa.debian.org/t/tuxracer-extras.html

This package contains additional tracks for extremetuxracer. I am
undecided if it's worth to upgrade to 0.6.0 because tuxracer-extras
won't work with this version any more.

What do you think about it?

Hello,

here are some additional information in this bug report for pcmanfm.

http://bugs.debian.org/737721

I don't agree with the maintainer of pcmanfm that this is a sole bug in
other applications. Instead pcmanfm and spacefm should simply try harder
to pass URLs and simple local file paths to an executable program.
However since the current behavior already satisfies the freedesktop
specification, at least in parts, I am lowering the severity to wishlist.

Bug#734411: apt-listbugs: /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/debian.rb:24:in `require': no such file to load -- debian_version (LoadError)

2014-01-06 Thread Markus Koschany

Version: 0.1.12
Severity: grave

Dear maintainer,

after I made a complete dist-upgrade and upgraded apt-listbugs from
0.1.11 to 0.1.12, I tried to install a single package but I got this
error message instead.

/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/debian.rb:24:in `require': no such file to load --
debian_version (LoadError) from
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/debian.rb:24 from
/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs:289:in `require' from
/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs:289 E: Sub-process /usr/sbin/apt-listbugs apt
returned an error code (1) E: Failure running script
/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs apt

So basically installing, upgrading or removing of software and
apt-listbug itself doesn't work anymore (but it did work in the past).
If I comment out

DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs {/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs apt;};

in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/10apt-listbugs

apt is able to complete the installation process and everything
works fine.

This makes apt-listbugs completely unusable for me at the moment hence
the severity. Please feel free to adjust it or contact me for further
information if needed.

Markus

I can see you seem to have installed OpenJDK 7 but perhaps your defaults
(update-alternatives) still point to version 6? MV 4 will only work with
OpenJDK 7 or later and since default-jre points to OpenJDK-7 on your
system, the dependency should be satisfied.

I think the best way to solve this issue is to use a wrapper script that
ensures a java7 compatible runtime environment and that mediathekview
will use Java7 even if other environments are installed on the same system.

I think using and depending on java-wrappers should be the way forward

Dear Maintainer,

I would like to upgrade the box2d package in Debian to the latest

Currently numptyphysics is the only reverse dependency and fails to
build from source with box2d in experimental. Please update your

Another option might be to fall back to the embedded version of box2d.

This bug will become release critical in the future.

first, the fonts-linuxlibertine package has switched from shipping the
truetype variants of the fonts to shipping the opentype variants. Are
you sure that foobillardplus is able to handle this font format?

I had replaced those fonts with LinBiolinum_R.otf and LinBiolinum_RB.otf
in the past. That seemed to work with the German and Russian language
versions of FooBillard++ but caused a strange error with the English
version. So I guess in principle it should work but it needs more
testing with the _aSB and _aS variants to be sure.

Second, the font files you are referring to were *a*utomatically
generated (i.e. scripted) *S*mall Caps in regular and *B*old weight. I
guess upstream removed them because they were not satisfied with their
general quality and I am not sure if we are able to (or even should) add
them back by means of fontforge scripting.

Well, I don't want to cause anybody here more work than usual. If this
is really intended by upstream, so be it. I'm just thinking that version
5.3.0 feels more like a regression because so many fonts variants are
missing from the last version and they could obviously be used in other
Debian packages.

works. But stored in an abonnement it gets every / replaced by an - if
you reopen the abonnement settings for editing. And when you actually
say you want to download a file from an abonnement it gets stored in a
directory with that mangled directory name ... in /tmp

Given that my /tmp is rather small and lives on a special partition,
this has a serious impact, and I guess it might be similar for others.
Either the dialogue should warn the user when they enter an absolute
path, or actually use it like it does when directly downloading a single
file. Or at least it should be possible to set the hardwired prefix
path /tmp somewhere, I was unable to find that in the settings.

Hi Rhonda,

I have started a new thread in MediathekView's forum.

http://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/zdfmediathk/viewtopic.php?f=1t=927

The replacement of / happens because the option Unicode vereinfachen
is enabled by default. You can find this option under

Datei - Einstellungen - Erweitert

By switching to Keine Veränderungen vornehmen (dann selbst prüfen!) you
have full control about special characters again.

I have to wait for an upstream response to determine whether this is
intended or how this issue can be resolved otherwise.

Hello Charles,

I wanted to clarify that there are also efforts to support both menu
systems and that the majority of games already integrate both.

https://wiki.debian.org/Games/JessieReleaseGoal

In my opinion the policy should at least mention the Debian menu as an
alternative menu system, so that all the effort until now was not
completely wasted. Menu files are easy to write and once written do not
impose more work for the maintainer. If the Debian menu is not mentioned
at all in Debian's policy, people will use this as a justification to
ignore even wishlist bugs for menu files.

the current human maintainers of freeciv are quite inactive/busy these

As soon as Alioth and the git repositories are back online, I can try to

Bug#736498: src:libgringotts: FTBFS on s390x

2014-01-26 Thread Markus Koschany
Hi Jose!

(I'm not subscribed to this bug report, please CC me or use
736498-submit...@bugs.debian.org)

 Before
split and conversion to format version 3 the source didn't build the
simple test suite (dh_auto_test) as it does now. Moreover, it never
built successfully on s390x and hurd-i386[0].

The reason why Osmo can't migrate to testing is that libgringotts2 built
successfully in src:gringotts for all architectures before the package
split. Now the system assumes that the new package introduces a
regression and blocks all reverse dependencies from reentering testing.

In my opinion the best way forward is to contact the developers of
libgringotts and fix the test suite upstream.

You can also choose to revert your change to enable the test suite or
you can choose to disable it only on s390x.

Something like that in debian/rules:

DEB_HOST_ARCH ?= $(shell dpkg-architecture -qDEB_HOST_ARCH)

override_dh_auto_test:
ifneq (s390x,$(DEB_HOST_ARCH))
dh_auto_test
endif

You might possibly want to contact your sponsor and ask him, if he can
test your patch/fixes on a s390x porter box.

I would probably disable the test suite on s390x, if that's the only
reason for the current FTBFS, upload a new and fixed revision and close
this bug report. Then I would open a new bug report with a lower
severity and look into the issue again and try to fix it permanently.

As far as we know there were never complains about libgringotts on s390x
thus I think just disabling the suite on s390x should suffice for the
moment.

Markus

The only difference between the latest version of freetype and the

scalable icons is

Erm, sorry. What I meant to say is that for i915{,kms} auto-loading is
fixed in latest kfreebsd-11 (see #684595). The patch in my previous mail
isn't supposed to fix auto-loading, just to switch to the KMS version

I tried the latest kernel 11 from experimental. The drm and i915 modules
are loaded and I can switch to virtual terminals. However now I can't
even login to my Xfce session via KDM because keyboard input isn't
working. (cursor blinks but I can't type in anything)

After I added drm2 and i915kms to /etc/modules again and rebooted, the
graphical login works again but virtual terminals aren't usable.

Newcons plus i915kms sounds like an interesting idea. Please feel free
