Bug#558204: python-psycopg2da: uninstallable: still depends on the monolithic zope3 package
Package: python-psycopg2da Version: 2.0.13-1 Severity: serious Justification: uninstallable in sid The zope3 package in sid seem to have been removed in favour of various separate library packages. However, python-psycopg2da still depends on zope3, rendering it uninstallable in sid. (This is one of a few packages preventing zope3's removal from testing; the others are versioned dependencies on python-zopeinterface that could be solved with a transitional package.) This might also be a good time to reconsider the zope-psycopgda2 package's dependencies, or remove it entirely; the first of its alternative dependencies (zope2.12) appears not to be in Debian any more (if it ever existed), although zope2.11 and zope2.10 still exist. Hello Volker, thanks for your answer. I didn't want blame you in any way! The only thing that still confuses me: I get similar kerning errors when printing out from Konqueror, Chrome or Arora. Bug#556597: cclive: diff for NMU version 0.5.3-1.1
tags 556597 + patch thanks It seems that with the build dependency changed as Adrian suggested, cclive works fine. All the tests in `make -C tests check` pass, except for sevenload which fails with a HTTP 401 error (not a regression - it does that when built against OpenSSL too). I've uploaded an NMU to DELAYED/3; please let me know if you want me to cancel it or delay it further. In the process of preparing the NMU, I imported cclive into a git repository for my own convenience. If you want to use that as a starting point for maintaining it in git (perhaps in the collab-maint directory), you're welcome to do so - you can get it from here: git clone git://git.debian.org/users/smcv/nmu/cclive.git http://git.debian.org/?p=users/smcv/nmu/cclive.git (gitweb) Regards, Simon diffstat for cclive_0.5.3-1 cclive_0.5.3-1.1 changelog |8 control |2 +- 2 files changed, 9 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff -u cclive-0.5.3/debian/control cclive-0.5.3/debian/control --- cclive-0.5.3/debian/control +++ cclive-0.5.3/debian/control @@ -2,7 +2,7 @@ Section: video Priority: optional Maintainer: Alejandro Garrido Mota -Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 7.0.50), autotools-dev, libcurl4-openssl-dev, +Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 7.0.50), autotools-dev, libcurl4-gnutls-dev, libpcre3-dev Standards-Version: 3.8.3 Homepage: http://code.google.com/p/cclive/ diff -u cclive-0.5.3/debian/changelog cclive-0.5.3/debian/changelog --- cclive-0.5.3/debian/changelog +++ cclive-0.5.3/debian/changelog @@ -1,3 +1,11 @@ +cclive (0.5.3-1.1) unstable; urgency=low + + * Non-maintainer upload. + * Build against libcurl4-gnutls-dev, not openssl, to avoid GPL +violation (Closes: #556597) + + -- Simon McVittie Thu, 26 Nov 2009 20:28:33 + + cclive (0.5.3-1) unstable; urgency=low * New upstream release. signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Hey, I can also confirm that bug, after a recent upgrade the path to the initrd and vmlinuz was wrong a /boot/ was added before. Removing /boot/ from the path worked without any problems. I've /boot on a separate partition, if this helps (/dev/sda1), /dev/sda2 is my root-filesystem. Bug#558118: Source package contains non-free IETF RFC/I-D
Severity: serious Package: torsocks Version: 1.0~delta-1 User: debian-rele...@lists.debian.org Usertags: nonfree-doc rfc Hi! This source package contains the following files from the IETF under non-free license terms: torsocks-1.0-delta/doc/SOCKS5-rfc1928.txt The license on RFC/I-Ds is not DFSG-free, see: * http://bugs.debian.org/199810 * http://release.debian.org/removing-non-free-documentation * http://wiki.debian.org/NonFreeIETFDocuments The lenny/squeeze release policy says binary and source packages must each be free: * http://release.debian.org/lenny/rc_policy.txt * http://release.debian.org/squeeze/rc_policy.txt The severity is serious, because this violates the Debian policy: * http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-archive.html#s-dfsg There are (at least) three ways to fix this problem. In order of preference: 1. Ask the author of the RFC to re-license the RFC under a free license. A template for this e-mail request can be found at http://wiki.debian.org/NonFreeIETFDocuments 2. Remove the non-free material from the source, e.g., by re-packaging the upstream archive and adding 'dfsg' to the Debian package version name. 3. Move the package to non-free. General discussions are kindly requested to take place on debian-legal or debian-devel in the thread with Subject: "Non-free IETF RFC/I-Ds in source packages". In eglibc <= 2.9, getline was only defined if _GNU_SOURCE was defined. In eglibc 2.10, getline is always defined (since it became a standard in POSIX2008). The problem is that your package already has a function named getline(), which now conflicts with glibc's. You need to rename your function to something else. Ubuntu already fixed many occurences of your problem, so it is possible that an Ubuntu patch is available for your package. Look at the PTS to find out.
