Bug#782090: xserver-xspice: Xspice broken due to missing spiceqxl driver
Package: xserver-xspice Version: 0.0.17-2+b1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Dear Maintainer, Running Xspice fails with an error indicating that the spiceqxl driver is missing. To test this, do the following: $ sudo cp /usr/share/doc/xserver-xspice/spiceqxl.xorg.conf.example /etc/X11/spiceqxl.xorg.conf $ Xspice --disable-ticketing --port 5903 :3.0 In the Xorg.3.0.log file you will find: [452982.994] (II) LoadModule: spiceqxl [452982.994] (WW) Warning, couldn't open module spiceqxl [452982.994] (II) UnloadModule: spiceqxl [452982.994] (II) Unloading spiceqxl [452982.994] (EE) Failed to load module spiceqxl (module does not exist, 0) In Debian 7.0 the spiceqxl driver used to be shipped as part of the xserver-xorg-video-qxl package which was probably wrong as this driver seems to only be needed for Xspice. But in Debian Testing no package ships this file which is worse. Compiling the driver by hand and placing it in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/spiceqxl_drv.so fixes this and makes Xspice usable. It would also be nice if copying spiceqxl.xorg.conf.example into place manually was not necessary. After all no such step is needed to use vncserver. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages xserver-xspice depends on: ii libpython2.7-stdlib [python-argparse] 2.7.9-2 ii python 2.7.9-1 ii xserver-xorg 1:7.7+7 ii xserver-xorg-video-qxl 0.1.1-2+b1 xserver-xspice recommends no packages. xserver-xspice suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#762326: avahi-daemon support scripts use (legacy) network tools but do not depend on them
Hello Michaels! On Sat, Jan 03, 2015 at 01:20:11AM +0100, Michael Biebl wrote: please send a patch Completely untested patch attached. Bug#769716: iceweasel: OpenH264 back in 37, breaks H.264 playback
I've just had another look at this when upgrading to 37. It still seems that there are some traces of all this in iceweasel. The plug-ins list still shows OpenH264 provided by Cisco (disabled) even though I've had deleted it from my home dir. When one enables it (networking off), it may even try to download it again... cause it creates a gmp/ dir in the profile dir. Cheers, Chris. smime.p7s Description: S/MIME cryptographic signature

Bug#782107: kfreebsd-10: CVE-2015-2923: IPv6 Hop limit lowering via RA messages
Package: src:kfreebsd-10 Version: 10.1~svn274115-3 Severity: grave Tags: security Hi, A local-network DoS was reported in the IPv6 stack of FreeBSD: https://www.freebsd.org/security/advisories/FreeBSD-SA-15:09.ipv6.asc (the same issue as CVE-2015-2922 on Linux). This affects all our kfreebsd-8, -9, -10 and -11 packages. Debian GNU/kFreeBSD packages enable accept_rtadv by default, so are vulnerable to this DoS unless that flag is manually disabled on an interface, or IPv6 connectivity not used. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: kfreebsd-amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: kFreeBSD 9.0-2-amd64-xenhvm-ipsec Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#781443: capnproto: FTBFS on armhf and armel (test seg. faults) but built there in the past

Hard to see exactly what's going on here because we seem to be falling afoul of https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2014/04/msg00322.html. Do you happen to know if there's another way to get access to test-suite.log from these builds? The suggested work-around in that mailing list thread appears to require a change to the packaging, which I imagine we want to try and avoid. Alternatively remove the arm* binaries (capnproto is new in jessie and has no reverse deps) and let ARM porters figure it out if they want support for capnproto in the future. Cheers, Moritz Hi Tom, Any news on this bug? If nothing changes soon, capnproto will be autoremoved in 5-6 days from now. As Moritz suggested, removing capnproto from arm* is a viable alternative for Jessie. Simply file a bug against ftp.debian.org requesting their removal from unstable (remember to make it architecture specific). :) Please note that the ftp-masters can be a few days at processing your request.
