Bug#755992: proftpd-mod-clamav: error: Can not stat file (9): Bad file descriptor

2015-04-07 Thread Jérémie LEGRAND
Hello,

I upgraded to latest version (0.14rc1) by recompiling sources from github. It
is now OK.
(Virus are detected/blocked by Clamav, with no error in log file)

As Debian sid is still in 0.10 for now, here is my procedure to install 0.14
sources:

# Get sources from website:
cd /usr/local/src
wget --no-check-certificate
https://github.com/jbenden/mod_clamav/archive/master.zip
unzip master.zip

# Get Debian sources (0.10)
apt-get -y install dpkg-dev zlib1g-dev devscripts
apt-get build-dep proftpd-mod-clamav
apt-get -y source proftpd-mod-clamav

# Copy new sources
cp mod_clamav-master/mod_clamav.* proftpd-mod-clamav-0.10

# Create a patch of changes:
dpkg-source -commit
# (name it whatever you want)

# Create .deb :
debuild -us -uc

# Install it
dpkg -i ../proftpd-mod-clamav_0.deb

Best regards,
Jeremie L.

Bug#781995: motif: Fix for keyboard navigation of menus makes some packages unusable

2015-04-07 Thread Graham Inggs

tags 781995 patch
thanks

The attached patch simply does not define FIX_1565, and causes popup
menus and keyboard navigation in menus to revert to their Motif 2.3.3
behaviour. This patch can replace 18-updated-fix-1565.patch.

Sorry for the duplicate Report, but in the first Report, i used the

Bug#782075: gnome-tweak-tool: Crashes Gnome when reducing Number of Workspaces

2015-04-07 Thread jre
Package: gnome-tweak-tool
Version: 3.14.2-2
Severity: serious
Justification: causes data loss

Hi,

reducing the Number of Workspaces (for Workspace Creation Static) in
the Workspaces tab of Gnome Tweak Tool crashes the whole Gnome session:

Oh no! Something has gone wrong.
A problem has occured and the system can't recover. All extensions have
been disabled as a precaution.

Therefore all unsaved changes in any running application are lost and
extensions have to be reenabled manually.

I noticed this on a fresh (2015-04-05) Jessie installation with no
extensions. I can reproduce it here on my daily-use-laptop Jessie
installation.

Thanks
jre

Bug#782090: xserver-xspice: Xspice broken due to missing spiceqxl driver

2015-04-07 Thread Francois Gouget
Package: xserver-xspice
Version: 0.0.17-2+b1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

Running Xspice fails with an error indicating that the spiceqxl driver is
missing.

To test this, do the following:

$ sudo cp /usr/share/doc/xserver-xspice/spiceqxl.xorg.conf.example
/etc/X11/spiceqxl.xorg.conf
$ Xspice --disable-ticketing --port 5903 :3.0

In the Xorg.3.0.log file you will find:

[452982.994] (II) LoadModule: spiceqxl
[452982.994] (WW) Warning, couldn't open module spiceqxl
[452982.994] (II) UnloadModule: spiceqxl
[452982.994] (II) Unloading spiceqxl
[452982.994] (EE) Failed to load module spiceqxl (module does not exist, 0)

In Debian 7.0 the spiceqxl driver used to be shipped as part of the
xserver-xorg-video-qxl package which was probably wrong as this driver seems to
only be needed for Xspice. But in Debian Testing no package ships this file
which is worse.

Compiling the driver by hand and placing it in
/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/spiceqxl_drv.so fixes this and makes Xspice
usable.

It would also be nice if copying spiceqxl.xorg.conf.example into place manually
was not necessary. After all no such step is needed to use vncserver.

Bug#762326: avahi-daemon support scripts use (legacy) network tools but do not depend on them

2015-04-07 Thread Andreas Henriksson
Hello Michaels!

On Sat, Jan 03, 2015 at 01:20:11AM +0100, Michael Biebl wrote:
 please send a patch

Completely untested patch attached.

The patch prefers ip(route2), then net-tools and if neither is available
it should give some kind of graceful degradation. Thus no need to adjust
dependencies.

Help with testing from anyone interested would be appreciated.

Bug#769716: iceweasel: OpenH264 back in 37, breaks H.264 playback

2015-04-07 Thread Christoph Anton Mitterer
I've just had another look at this when upgrading to 37.

It still seems that there are some traces of all this in iceweasel.
The plug-ins list still shows OpenH264 provided by Cisco (disabled)
even though I've had deleted it from my home dir.
When one enables it (networking off), it may even try to download it
again... cause it creates a gmp/ dir in the profile dir.

Cheers,
Chris.

Bug#782108: libkf5people-data: fails to upgrade from 'sid' - trying to overwrite /usr/share/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES/libkpeople.mo

2015-04-07 Thread Andreas Beckmann
Package: libkf5people-data
Version: 5.8.0-1
Severity: serious
User: debian...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: piuparts

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from
'sid' to 'experimental'.
It installed fine in 'sid', then the upgrade to 'experimental' fails
because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a
Breaks+Replaces relation.

See policy 7.6 at
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces

From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Selecting previously unselected package libkf5people-data.
  Preparing to unpack .../libkf5people-data_5.8.0-1_all.deb ...
  Unpacking libkf5people-data (5.8.0-1) ...

/var/cache/apt/archives/libkf5people-data_5.8.0-1_all.deb (--unpack):
   trying to overwrite '/usr/share/locale/bs/LC_MESSAGES/libkpeople.mo', which
is also in package libkpeople3 0.2.2-2

cheers,

Andreas

A new version of the patch was issued in revision 1.1 of the advisory.
It seems the original patch did not entirely fix the bug.

Bug#769716: iceweasel: OpenH264 back in 37, breaks H.264 playback

It still seems that there are some traces of all this in iceweasel.
The plug-ins list still shows OpenH264 provided by Cisco (disabled)
even though I've had deleted it from my home dir.
When one enables it (networking off), it may even try to download it
again... cause it creates a gmp/ dir in the profile dir.

No, it may not, because the url it knows to download it is
data:text/plain,

Mike

Bug#782107: kfreebsd-10: CVE-2015-2923: IPv6 Hop limit lowering via RA messages

2015-04-07 Thread Steven Chamberlain
Package: src:kfreebsd-10
Version: 10.1~svn274115-3
Severity: grave
Tags: security

Hi,

A local-network DoS was reported in the IPv6 stack of FreeBSD:
https://www.freebsd.org/security/advisories/FreeBSD-SA-15:09.ipv6.asc
(the same issue as CVE-2015-2922 on Linux).

This affects all our kfreebsd-8, -9, -10 and -11 packages.

Debian GNU/kFreeBSD packages enable accept_rtadv by default, so are
vulnerable to this DoS unless that flag is manually disabled on an
interface, or IPv6 connectivity not used.

Bug#781443: capnproto: FTBFS on armhf and armel (test seg. faults) but built there in the past

 Hey Niels,

Understood. Hard to see exactly what's going on here because we seem to be
 falling afoul of https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2014/04/msg00322.html.
Do you happen to know if there's another way to get access to
test-suite.log from these builds? The suggested work-around in that mailing
list thread appears to require a change to the packaging, which I imagine
we want to try and avoid.

Alternatively remove the arm* binaries (capnproto is new in jessie and
has no reverse deps) and let ARM porters figure it out if they want
support for capnproto in the future.

 Cheers,
 Moritz

Hi Tom,

Any news on this bug? If nothing changes soon, capnproto will be
autoremoved in 5-6 days from now.

As Moritz suggested, removing capnproto from arm* is a viable
alternative for Jessie. Simply file a bug against ftp.debian.org
requesting their removal from unstable (remember to make it architecture
specific). :) Please note that the ftp-masters can be a few days at
processing your request.

Thanks,
~Niels
