Bug#916702: freezegun FTBFS: test failures
Package: src:freezegun Followup-For: Bug #916702 I locally created a version based on the more recent 0.3.11 upstream version, with the same Debian files (plus an extra changelog entry, of course), and ``dpkg-buildpackage -A`` seemed to successfully build, pass the tests and package everything. So probably using the latest upstream would fix the issue. Bug#902330: timidity: daemon excludes pulseaudio daemon from using audio cards
Package: timidity Version: 2.14.0-3 Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software Hi there! After the last update and reboot of my Sid system, I could no longer hear sound output from any application. I'm running per-user PulseAudio, and ``pavucontrol`` said that no audio cards were being detected, showing only a fake sink device. The card was reported in ``dmesg``, ``lspi``, ``lsmod`` and ``alsamixer`` though. Running ``fuser /dev/snd/*`` showed only the Timidity daemon having ``/dev/snd/controlC0`` open. Stopping the Timidity daemon seemed to fix the issue and running ``pavucontrol`` again reported the physical card. Actually I was then able to start the Timidity daemon again successfully without breaking things. Restarting the system made the Timidity daemon hold the card again until it was stopped, so I stopped and disabled the daemon as a temporary workaround. As I mentioned, this happened after a recent update and reboot, so the issue may have been introduced by some update during June 2018. Thank you very much! -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: arm64, armhf, i386 Kernel: Linux 4.16.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ca_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ca_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=ca:es (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages timidity depends on: ii libasound21.1.6-1 ii libaudio2 1.9.4-6 ii libc6 2.27-3 ii libflac8 1.3.2-3 ii libice6 2:1.0.9-2 ii libjack-jackd2-0 [libjack-0.125] 1.9.12~dfsg-2 ii libncurses6 6.1+20180210-4 ii libogg0 1.3.2-1+b1 ii libpng16-16 1.6.34-1 ii libsm62:1.2.2-1+b3 ii libspeex1 1.2~rc1.2-1+b2 ii libtinfo6 6.1+20180210-4 ii libvorbis0a 1.3.6-1 ii libvorbisenc2 1.3.6-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.5-1 ii libxaw7 2:1.0.13-1+b2 ii libxext6 2:1.3.3-1+b2 ii libxmu6 2:1.1.2-2 ii libxt61:1.1.5-1 ii lsb-base 9.20170808 ii zlib1g1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 Versions of packages timidity recommends: ii fluid-soundfont-gm 3.1-5.1 ii timidity-daemon 2.14.0-3 Versions of packages timidity suggests: ii fluid-soundfont-gs 3.1-5.1 ii freepats20060219-1 ii pmidi 1.7.1-1 -- no debconf information

Bug#523345: gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad: Confirmed Pidgin crash
Package: gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad Version: 0.10.11-2+b1 Severity: normal I can also confirm that Pidgin crashes when a connection to a Jabber server is done with gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad installed. When no Jabber server is used, the program runs ok. Also, when gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad is removed (even keeping the packages it depends on), the program doesn't crash when connecting to Jabber servers. I can provide an ltrace and an strace of a crash if you need it. However, I may need to clean them up a little. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ca_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ca_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad depends on: ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-base 0.10.22-5GStreamer plugins from the "base" ii libasound2 1.0.19-1 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libass3 0.9.6-1 library for SSA/ASS subtitles rend ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.5-1 high-quality block-sorting file co ii libc6 2.9-7GNU C Library: Shared libraries pn libcdaudio1(no description available) pn libcelt0 (no description available) pn libdc1394-22 (no description available) ii libdca0 0.0.5-2 decoding library for DTS Coherent ii libdirectfb-1.2-0 1.2.7-2 direct frame buffer graphics - sha ii libdvdnav4 4.1.3-3 DVD navigation library ii libdvdread4 4.1.3-5 library for reading DVDs ii libexempi3 2.1.0-3 library to parse XMP metadata (Lib ii libexif12 0.6.17-1 library to parse EXIF files ii libfaad02.6.1-3.1freeware Advanced Audio Decoder - ii libgcc1 1:4.3.3-8GCC support library ii libglib2.0-02.20.1-1 The GLib library of C routines pn libgmyth0 (no description available) ii libgsm1 1.0.12-1 Shared libraries for GSM speech co ii libgstreamer-plugins-base0. 0.10.22-5GStreamer libraries from the "base ii libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.22-3Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libiptcdata01.0.3-1 Library to parse IPTC metadata ii libjack00.116.1-4JACK Audio Connection Kit (librari ii libjasper1 1.900.1-5.1 The JasPer JPEG-2000 runtime libra pn liblrdf0 (no description available) pn libmms0(no description available) ii libmodplug0c2 1:0.8.4-5shared libraries for mod music bas ii libmpcdec3 1:1.2.2-2.1 Musepack (MPC) format library pn libmusicbrainz4c2a (no description available) ii libneon27-gnutls0.28.2-6.1 An HTTP and WebDAV client library pn libofa0(no description available) ii liboil0.3 0.3.15-1 Library of Optimized Inner Loops ii libsndfile1 1.0.19-2 Library for reading/writing audio pn libsoundtouch1c2 (no description available) ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-16SSL shared libraries ii libstdc++6 4.3.3-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 pn libwildmidi0 (no description available) ii libx11-62:1.2.1-1X11 client-side library ii libxml2 2.7.3.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad recommends no packages. gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad suggests no packages. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#523806: nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx: Conflicts with new xserver-xorg-core
Package: nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx Version: 96.43.07-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Package ``nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx`` version 96.43.07-2 provides the virtual package ``xserver-xorg-video-2``. However, the latest version of ``xserver-xorg-core`` in Sid, 2:1.6.0-1, conflicts with the aforementioned virtual package, implying that one has to revert to the ``nv`` driver to keep on using a local X server after an update. This bug looks quite similar to #521216. Bug#476274: spambayes: sb_imapfilter.py still broken in Lenny/Stable
Package: spambayes Version: 1.0.4-5.1 Followup-For: Bug #476274 The ``sb_imapfilter.py`` script belonging to the version Lenny/Stable does still suffer from the misplaced ``from __future__ import generators`` error:: $ sb_imapfilter.py --help File "/usr/bin/sb_imapfilter.py", line 89 from __future__ import generators SyntaxError: from __future__ imports must occur at the beginning of the file Simply moving the statement right after the docstring fixes the issue. This fix is already applied in Spambayes' trunk. It looks like Python 2.5 is pickier with the placement of future statements. That's the reason why it worked under 2.4 but not under 2.5. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18.8-linode16 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ca_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ca_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages spambayes depends on: ii python2.5.2-3An interactive high-level object-o ii python-central0.6.8 register and build utility for Pyt spambayes recommends no packages. spambayes suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
