Bug#310713: freeze when editing an XML file
Hi, I confirmed this problem and tried to find a solution with Akira Tagoh. This bug can be reproducible by resume.xml is submitter reported and xml-resume-library package. When the element may have CDATA in DTD and it hasn't any data in the document, mlv freezes and crashes with segmentation fault in background. We found handling of dummy node was something bad. The problem of "using private API" is temporary hacked by CUPS upstream, http://www.cups.org/str.php?L1527+P0+S-1+C0+I0+E0+QKDE > Upstream bug: > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115891 > > Upstream more information: > http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/1901 About socket problem, I saw it on my machine once. Because any decettion daemons (udev, hotplug, discover, and so on) won't care about lp module, I'd already added a module loading routine to the parallel backend of CUPS (26_modprobe.dpatch). Bug#377156: sablevm-classlib: FTBFS: jikes hangs up on arm
Package: sablevm-classlib Severity: serious Version: 1.13-2 Hi, As you can see, building sablevm-classlib always fails only on arm architecture. http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=&pkg=sablevm-classlib - checking jikes version... 1.22 ... /usr/bin/jikes -q -g +Pno-shadow +Pno-switchcheck +F -encoding UTF-8 -bootclasspath '' -extdirs '' -sourcepath '' --classpath ..:../vm/reference:../external/w3c_dom:../external/sax:.: -d . @classes - Although official arm buildd failed by timeout, it won't be finished forever on my personal buildd also even if I disabled timeout. jikes (1:1.22-4) runs, but it seems hang up after some minutes later. I detached by strace or gdb, but I couldn't see any beacon from jikes. Because my ARM machine has 256MB memory and process seems use memory not so much, I suspect this is ARM specific problem (m68k succeeds!) of sablevm-classlib or jikes. I'll try to make an additional report for you. Thanks, -- Kenshi Muto [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Your /etc/cups/cupsd.conf is corrupted, and you'll see an error reason in /var/log/cups/error_log. Maybe it lacks Port/Listen section (#376883). Plus, cupsd forks by default. OK, that's true. I investigated this and found a problem. cupsd 1.1 (sarge version) + libcupsys2 1.2 will crash with "undefined symbol: cups_strlcpy". libcupsys2 1.2 hasn't cups_strlcpy symbol but has _cups_strlcpy. ...Yes, upstream changed it silently without soname change. r4683: Cleanup namespace so that private APIs and types use a leading underscore. Thank you upstream, this hits us... I'm thinking "is it safe to provide API compatible with 1.1?" and checking symbols. (I think it's too late to change soname.) Package: libuim1 Severity: serious Version: 1:1.1.1-1 Tags: sid Hello, I noticed you bumped up soname of libuim. Sadly, your doing for libuim package seems wrong, and it's bit late to solve this by a smooth way. 0. hm, soname is bumped up... This is not a problem, but soname change (API incompatibility) makes a transition work. Will libuim change it again in the near future? You should better define which version you'd like to adopt for next stable Etch. All of dependent packages are affected. Please keep in mind that library transition makes a confuse for a while and you need to ask about it to release-team at first. 1. "libuim1 conflicts with libuim0" makes: This is absolutely wrong. This prevents to coexist a package uses libuim0 and another one uses libuim1. I understand both libuim0 and libuim1 include files have same name - plugin and locale files. Please move them to other NEW or existing packages for next transition. Even if it's too late to avoid current situation. 2. "libuim1 replaces libuim0"?: Confuses and seems wrong. If upstream changed soname, it means that libuim1 is incompatible with libuim0. I want to stop that libuim1 enters in testing, till the appropriate transition path is planned. We're standing near the goal. Could you show me your /etc/cups/classes.conf? I suspect your file hasn't any Printer line by something reason. Bug#392909: im-sdk: -dev package hasn't enough header files
Package: im-sdk Severity: grave Version: 12.3.91-0.2 Tags: sid Hi, I noticed I couldn't compile my maintaining package mlterm with libiiimcf-dev 12.3.91. 1. header files seemed move subdirectory /usr/include/iiim. It's better to modify each #include of header files indicate "iiim/..." if you move header files to subdirectory. Well, it's not a grave bug although each maintainers have to modify their source. 2. you seems forget to include some header files, such as iiimp-file-operation.h. By missing files, I couldn't build mlterm (and maybe other iiimf related packages) after all. P.S. buildd log seems there is 64bit FTBFS in current im-sdk also. I'm sorry Laurent, but your log only showed you removed all jobs. Original bug report by Vedran may be considerable as grave rather than as important, but I haven't met it on my test environment. AFAIK java.util.concurrent library is JDK 1.5 feature. I think your pbuilder installed kaffe or gcj instead of sun-j2sdk to satisfy java-compiler and java-virtual-machine, but they haven't supported its version yet. Maintainer wrote a dependency as: Build-Depends: sun-java5-jdk | java-compiler, java-gcj-compat-dev, sun-java5-jre | java-virtual-machine, ant, debhelper (>= 5) Hm, depending non-free-package from main-package seems very bad. Policy 2.2.1: main must not require a package outside of main for compilation or execution (thus, the package must not declare a "Depends", "Recommends", or Build-Depends" relationship on a non-main package), Maintainer, did you build this pacakge with sun-java5-jdk? I think it's better to move this package since 2.3.2 to contrib section until gcj or other DFSG-free JDK support the 1.5 features.
