Jason, could you please put the unofficial package somewhere to test it?

For me the solution pointed by Wolfgang Walter solves the issue:

ln -s /usr/lib/chromium/chromium-sandbox /usr/lib/chromium/chrome-sandbox

Thos packages look to solve the issue, both with python 2.5 and python 2.6:

ser...@frink:~/path/to/repo$ python2.5 /usr/bin/hg pull
pulling from http://wikier:*...@hg.wikier.org/foo
searching for changes
no changes found
ser...@frink:~/path/to/repo$ python2.6 /usr/bin/hg pull
pulling from http://wikier:*...@hg.wikier.org/foo
searching for changes
no changes found

So we can say that the last upstream 'stable' branch fixes the
problem. Do you have details about the diff? I'm just curious.

Thanks!

Best,

2010-07-01 Thread Sergio Fernández
reopen 586907
reassign 586907 mercurial 1.5.4-2

As I said, the patch applied it's not working as expected. With both
versions of python (2.6.5 and 2.5.5) I'm getting the error again:

  abort: authorization failed

The only way I found to get back mercurial working it's to delete the
patch and go back to python.2.5 on the shebang.

Bug#586907: patch not working

2010-06-28 Thread Sergio Fernández
Sorry, I'm not sure what happened, a ..pyc cache or something, but
with that patch applied today I'm getting again a "authorization
failed" message :-/

I've to go back to my botched patch on the shebang.

I'll try to look if upstream has registered the bug.

Bug#586907: Mercurial 1.5.4-1 doesn't make pull/push with Python>=2.6

2010-06-23 Thread Sergio Fernández
Package: mercurial
Version: 1.5.4-1
Severity: grave

Recent Mercurial 1.5.4-1 can't make changes on the server (pull, push
and so on) with the current default version of Python on Sid (2.6).

Modifying the shebang of /usr/bin/hg as follows:

#!/usr/bin/python2.5

makes it work fine again.
