Bug#555004: reopen #555004

reopen 555004
thanks

Debian Bug Tracking System ow...@bugs.debian.org (28/11/2009):
This is an automatic notification regarding your Bug report
which was filed against the r-base-core-ra package:

 #555004: Please remove build-dependency on xpdf-reader

It has been closed by Dirk Eddelbuettel e...@debian.org.

I'm probably missing something since I'm not really familiar with R
and its packaging (especially since you talk about R — which I assume
is r-base — and Ra — the buggy package I assume). But it looks very
suspicious to close a bug in the r-base-core-ra source package by
uploading a new r-base package. The former is still BD-Uninstallable
on kfreebsd-* (where it never built yet), and I still see xpdf-reader
listed in Build-Depends in my sid amd64 Sources.gz file, so I believe
this bug is still present; reopening accordingly.

Mraw,
KiBi.

Great catch, thanks!

Yup. I must have confused myself while prodding the Ra upstream author to
release a new version for R 2.10.0.

So the bug is now really closed with a fresh 1.8.2-2 upload with a fixed
debian/control.

Thanks again, Dirk

No problem, I'm just glad my tool to generate graphs of chains of
(build-)dependencies for GNU/kFreeBSD has the nice side-effect of
finding RC bugs that still apply. :)

So the bug is now really closed with a fresh 1.8.2-2 upload with a
 fixed debian/control.

I've seen that it moved to Needs-Build state, which sounds nice. :)

Thanks for the quick fix.
