You're right. For example 前記参照 would be See above.

 the same way we used Supports ~ in English. So above seems to
 say that it supports it, not that it bans it.

〜対応する means corresponding/equivalent. I don't have the full phrase
so I can't tell you what corresponds to what, but that's the meaning of
〜対応する.

Yeah, bizarre result of having two console windows open, with mutt
instances for two different mail accounts, and text somehow
inadvertently finding its way from one to other.

But I wouldn't rule out simple pilot error -- it's 7:30 am here in
Tokyo (well, actually Shonan Fujisawa) and I've been up all night...
