The cd-wheezy-test-amd64-i386-netinst directory contain the interesting install medium. The testing-nolocal images do not contain our updated packages. There is not yet any DVD image. I hope we can change this for alpha1. And alpha0 is already out. :) http://maintainer.skolelinux.org/munin/skolelinux.no/administrator.skolelinux.no/if_eth0.html > show the network stats on the download server. :) -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-edu-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Hi, What is the best prepared install medium? The wheezy testing, wheezy nolocal, or the DVD image? Several of the recevers will never have heard about us before. I guess we can cut-n-paste something from earlier announcements. When that is in place, I believe it is ready to go out. :) I guess we also should prepare some press release to announce the work, to try to get some journalists interested? Re: Ready for alpha 1, any volunteer to make it happen?
I propose we put the first alpha release in ftp://ftp.skolelinux.no/skolelinux-cd/wheezy/ >, and call the ISO debian-edu~7.0+edu0~a0-CD.iso. Note, the ISO placed there now is not the final alpha0 image. The file name and ISO label is modelled after the Squeeze ISO file names and ISO label. The release notes need to be updated with download instructions and testing instructions. If no-one report any problems with the current build, I want to stamp the next ISO build as alpha0. It will get a new ISO label, but that is about it. Wolfgang, can you wrap up the release notes and announce it when it is done? http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/ReleaseNotes/Wheezy > look good, but please everyone check it out if there is anything missing? -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-edu-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Wheezy ? Ok, let's work on it (by myself or my assistant) Cheers On Tue, Apr 23, 2013 at 08:52:57AM +0200, Petter Reinholdtsen wrote: > > Since this morning, it is again possible to log into Gosa. Ready for alpha 1, any volunteer to make it happen?
Since this morning, it is again possible to log into Gosa. It was the last of the major problems discovered during last weekends developer gathering. Now I believe the distribution is ready for the first alpha release. Anyone willing to make it happen? Two things need to be fixed: - Create release notes on the wiki. This will be the body of the announcement email. - Update the ISO build to use the correct version string. - Update the debian-edu-install package to use the correct version string. - Optional: Create DVD ISO too. This can wait for alpha 2. Please show up on #debian-edu if you want to work on making this happen. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-edu-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
