3.1.5 still to come?
Hi, In http://download.kde.org/stable/3.1.5/Debian/README I find: UPDATE FOR 3.1.5 WILL COME WHEN I'M BACK FROM MY VACATION ON MONDAY, JAN 26. Then I'll also prepare 3.2 debs. Stay tuned, no need to mail me until next week. Is 3.1.5 still to come or are we supposed to go directly to 3.2? Thanks a lot in advance! Should I use symlinks from > "usr/share/applications/kde/*" to "/usr/share/applnk/"? KDE 3.2 uses the new XDG dir locations. Almost all desktop files should now be under /usr/share/applications, for some reason not all of them were moved yet. It should work as is, unless there is some sort of problem with your .kde dir. The new menu file (/etc/xdg/...) looks in both locations for backwards compatibility. Chris signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Hopefully it has been resolved for KDE 3.2, when I build those debs I will check again. Chris signature.asc Description: Digital signature
IDNs in KDE 3.2
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi, One of the promoted highlights in KDE 3.2 was the support for international domain names. However, if I enter a IDN url in Konqueror, I only get: "Invalid address http://"; I am using the woody backport from download.kde.org. Has anybody used IDNs in KDE3.2 already? Maybe this is just a misconfiguration, any hints? (Yes, I set language encoding to utf-8.) If this is rather an upstream issue, please tell me where to ask. TIA, Elmar - -- | Elmar W. Or is 3.1.5 dropped because 3.2 is available? In my mirror, there are still the old debs available: ftp://ftp.rediris.es/mirror/kde/stable If you don't find it in your usual place, take a look at this FTP. Best regards.
installing .fon fonts
Hi! Is it possible to install font files, which has a ".fon" extension? When I try to add these fonts in kde with Fontinst, it says that is doesn't support this file type. Is there any other way to install these fonts? Thanks! Daniel -- LeVA
