Re: Kget crashes in unstable

2004-09-25 Thread David A. Panariti
I see same thing on Gentoo running 3.3.0

1.) It won't start from konq wanting to d/l.
2.) I also get the same as you from the command line.

I made a kicker menu item for it and this works.

Obvious conclusion of the day:
Sounds like a kget problem rather than a Debian or a gentoo build problem.

Are you joking? I shall wipe my whole working-since-KDE2-config because of a
QT-Upgrade? NO.

It gets sourced automatically by the startkde script. Just put your script in
your ~/.kde/env/ directory

Sorry about my stupid question, but where do you source it? I am not
familiar with KDE yet, so I did not found the right place to source it.

see Bug#269132. the migration to testing has only been allowed by the
RMs after some developer (Riku Voipio) actually checked it worked.
Or is this all well tested and I should upgrade with a smile?
you should be safe. if you encounter any problems, please report.
First problem: all the sudden, every newly started app has AA enabled.
Too bad that I really do not like it. And yes, this is surely caused by the
upgrade.
AA is disabled in the KDE control center and autohint and antialias are
disabled in /etc/fonts/local.conf.
And yes, I alread restarted the whole system...
Have you tried removing ~/.kde before upgrading?
