Steve Langasek provided a translation of this bugreport (thanks, Steve),
but he is very busy, maybe someone from debian-l10n-portuguese could
ease communication with bug submitter?

The console-tools package does not change /etc/console-tools/config,
so the submitter has to check on her system which other package is
the culprit.  Maybe
   $ grep -rl /etc/console-tools/config /var/lib/dpkg/info
can be helpful?

At the moment there are only 2 packages listed under
   http://www.debian.org/intl/l10n/po/pt_PT
When bugs are filed against these packages and they are fixed, pt_PT
will vanish ;)

For my information, why is Brazillian Portuguese not defined in ISO-639?
It would make things simpler for everyone.

Great, remember to add Location fields in INFOS files when bugs are closed.

This repository was created some time ago, and used recently by Julien
Louis and myself to manage French translations of Debian specific
man pages.
As for now a daily running script scans package content and shows
man pages which have been updated by Debian developers.
Translators can check whether their translations are up to date by
using a check_transl.pl script similar to the one in webwml.

In the future we hope that developers will manage themselves the
English versions and get translations from this CVS repository,
but this is a long term goal, you have to send your translations
to the BTS in order for them to be included.

Ok, will do.

The Location field tells where to find this man page in the source package,
so it must not be set until this man page is shipped.

Hi again,
FYI I've sent a patch to Joey to fix this bug as well as the one I was talking
about, which received #134307.

This bug had never been reported, so I wondered whether I was missing
something. I will then report it, thanks for your help.

It is available at
   http://www.debian.org/intl/l10n/templates/hints.en.html
This is a first draft, so it may be a good idea to improve English version
before translating it ;)

But if I try with acct
  $ debconf-getlang pt_BR templates > templates.pt_BR
  $ debconf-getlang pttemplates > templates.pt
templates.pt contains both pt and pt_BR, whereas pt_BR contains no translated
fields.

I wanted to add a section into above document explaining how to split templates
file; this is why I am wondering whether it is a known problem.

You should report it, this is quite annoying.

debconf-getlang and pt_BR

Hello,

I am trying to improve documentation to help translating Debconf templates
files, and am facing a problem with Portuguese. How do you run debconf-getlang
to extract pt_BR fields?
