"jlha" is a library written in Java. It can be found at
http://homepage1.nifty.com/dangan/Content/Program/Java/jLHA/jLHA.html

"jlhafrontend" is just a wrapper to call "jlha" and provides
command-line compatibility to the non-free "lha".

If the package/project name is bad, I can change it. Please give me some
idea, thanks.

Why it is named "frontend", if it is in fact the entire tool and not just a
wrapper to call lha, which is what "lhafrontend" implies?

There is also the parse-apt-files.inc PHP script [1][2]. I e.g. use if

Dak's override file lists sections (and I think priorities) for all
packages. This way ftpmasters have to be consulted before anything can
land in a wrong section (like moving from non-free to main) and I think
it also catches new packages (as nothing not in the override file is let in).
(Thus the section and priority within packages are mostly suggestions
(later uploads do not even need them in the .changes file), and this
message tells they differ from the real values in the override file).

Should not be an issue; simply configure it ;-)
The thing I fixed was that, when there was already a package for one
architecture in the pool, and the same package was uploaded for
a different architecture, some meta data from the already existing
package was overwritten so that only the latter one was visible.

Best Regards,

Andreas

Just for your info.

To put package descriptions on my site [1] I use a combination of
dctrl2xml [2] and a xslt stylesheet to produce the html code, very
little scripting needed. If you want more details you can ask.

dctrl2xml can produce a useful xml file starting from the a Packages
file in your repository.

   Antonio.

[RFS, backports] Yorick 2.1 -- interpreted language and scientific graphics

2006-09-04 Thread Thibaut Paumard
Hello,

I am the new maintainer for Yorick, an interpreted programming language
well suited for scientific numerical computations and plot creations.

As the version in Sarge is very much outdated and lacks useful features
(in particular support for plug-ins), I have just uploaded a backported
version of the package to mentors.debian.net. I would be grateful if
someone could upload it to backports.org for me.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/y/yorick
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/y/yorick/yorick_2.1.01cvs20060706-1~bpo.1.dsc

Best regards, Thibaut.

I will check it out...

But it seems I have to do some scripting stuff no matter what I
use apt-ftparchive, dak, reprepro, debpool or my old own tools
since it must work together with my devel-website (project page).

Mirror and Override

2006-09-04 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hi all,

for some minutes I have gotten via the BTS the following message:

8<--
Envelope-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
X-TDMailSerialnumber: 7133699
Date: Thu, 31 Aug 2006 10:47:11 -0700
From: Debian Installer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To: Santiago Vila <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: gettext override disparity
X-PTS-Package: gettext

There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

gettext-base_0.15-2_powerpc.deb: package says priority is standard, override
says important.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one
like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated
mails; sorry.]
8<--

Now my question: I was thinking, the Override is there to OVERRIDE
package informations, like Maintainer, Section or Priority.

The Message is a little bit confusing...

Can anyone explain this?
