I dislike the duplication and the iceweasel/mozilla style license[1]. That said it is not my role to decide about uploading ttf-takao or removing otf-ipafont. It is a shame IPA doesn't use standard FLOSS practices like releasing early and often. 1. I also dislike DFSG #4 a lot. As Osamu said, I think both the IPA fonts and Takao fonts should be included in debian. So I don't want removal of the IPA fonts. Some people like to use the conservative fonts provided by govamental organization, and some people like the fonts modified by the community. We can provide selectability for users. For your information, at this time Takao is modified only for fixing one problem vanishing under line on some Japanese input software. Including newly defined Emoji glyphs[1] in Takao is possible idea.
