Hi,

unfortunately you're right. Is it OK. to upload it again, with only the
changelog corrected, or do I also need a new version entry
(l2tp-ipsec-vpn (1.0.9-1.1) unstable; urgency=low) in the changelog ?

Thank you

Hi Kilian,

yes my fault, I missed to clean the test files in the clean target.

I also moved the dependencies to openswan and xl2tpd from package
l2tp-ipsec-vpn to package l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon.

I've just uploaded the changes, so please have another look at it.

Best Regards
 Werner

Re: RFS: l2tp-ipsec-vpn

2011-08-04 Thread Werner Jaeger
Hi Kilian,

I just uploaded following changes for packages l2tp-ipsec-vpn and
l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon

- deleted postinst, postrm, prerm (l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon)
- removed hard coded arch (l2tp-ipsec-vpn, l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon)
- simplified rules by putting all dependencies into make file
(l2tp-ipsec-vpn, l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon)
- added tests (l2tp-ipsec-vpn)

I did not change the daemon path
"/usr/lib/l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon/L2tpIPsecVpnControlDaemon" to /usr/sbin,
because the daemon is supposed to be called only from the GUI. According to

http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/fhs/fhs-2.3.html#USRLIBLIBRARIESFORPROGRAMMINGANDPA

I think this is the right place.

Hoping to receive either further reviews or that someone will put the
packages into NEW.

Thank you and best regards,
 Werner

Hi Kilian,

you should be able to find l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon package at

http://mentors.debian.net/cgi-bin/maintainer-packages?action=details;package=l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon

Repository URL is

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon

So far, this package has got now review yet.

If you find the l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon package to be o.k. I'd be happy if
some one could put both packages into NEW.

thanks

RFS: l2tp-ipsec-vpn

2011-06-18 Thread Werner Jaeger
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "l2tp-ipsec-vpn".

* Package name: l2tp-ipsec-vpn
  Version : 0.9.9-1
  Upstream Author : Werner Jaeger
* URL : https://launchpad.net/l2tp-ipsec-vpn
* License : GPL v3
  Section : net

It builds these binary packages:
l2tp-ipsec-vpn - control your L2TP IPsec VPN connections

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 602504

My motivation for maintaining this package is: In the first place, I develop
this package for
my own use because there was no easy to use solution to connect to a Microsoft
l2tp ipsec vpn
using a certificate for PPP authentication, which I needed to connect to my
corporate network.

I made it public through my ppa at https://launchpad.net/~werner-jaeger to
share the solution.

Apparently many other people had the same problem and started using it.

This is not my first request but so far I did not get any response. Is there
anything else I
should be doing ?

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/l2tp-ipsec-vpn
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/l2tp-ipsec-vpn/l2tp-ipsec-vpn_0.9.9-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards
 Werner Jäger
