Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package couriergrey

  * Package name: couriergrey
Version : 0.3.2-5
Upstream Author : Matthias Wimmer
  * URL : http://couriergrey.com/
  * License : GPL-2+
Section : mail

It builds those binary packages:

couriergrey - Mail filter interface of Courier-MTA to support greylisting

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:
   http://mentors.debian.net/package/couriergrey

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
 dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/couriergrey/couriergrey_0.3.2-5.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

couriergrey (0.3.2-5) unstable; urgency=low

  * cron.daily job failed, because of change in daemon's shell (Closes: #734716)
  * debian/watch url changed from http to https and pgpsigurlmangle url
  * Debian standards bumped to 3.9.5

With best regards,

Marco Balmer

 Dear Colin! Something went wrong. I've uploaded again to mentors with

Yep, sorry about that - I didn't notice that there was already a .dsc in
the upload queue for some reason. I used dcut to get rid of the debris
and reuploaded; it's accepted now.

No. It's because I used another git archive command. :) If it is significant
I re-upload a version with orig.tar.gz. Let me know. Thanks a lot.

In that case no need for you to re-upload; I can just remove the
.orig.tar.bz2 locally and rebuild the source package from the same
working tree against the existing .orig.tar.gz. Is that OK with you?

 Sorry for the delay. I'm building it now. I think it's fine to upload
 the watch file as it is since you say the problem there is with the
 remote site.

The package on mentors.d.n has an .orig.tar.bz2, but the version

I have reviewed the changes, and they look correct. I planned to build
upload, but didn't have the opportunity yet. If anyone else feels like
doing so, be my guest.

It's an easy package, with a very trivial fix, hardly any risk at all.

Hi!

Marco Balmer ma...@balmer.name writes:

 Fixed/uploaded all of your remarks, may you have a look again? Thank you!

 By the way I've added Vcs-Git and Vcs-Browser fields and fixed a
 bug in packaging.

I had another look, at long last, and spotted a thing or two:

* [minor] There's a thinko in debian/README.Debian: disabled at
  default should be disabled by default, at least that's how I
  usually use the phrase, but I'm not a native speaker, and I might very
  well be mistaken.

* [major] The package doesn't build twice in a row. The second time it
  fails with:

,
| make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/algernon/ext-src/debian/sponsor/couriergrey-0.3.0.1'
|dh_auto_build
| [...]
| Making all in man
| make[3]: Entering directory
`/home/algernon/ext-src/debian/sponsor/couriergrey-0.3.0.1/man'
| generating couriergrey.8 from couriergrey.8.in
| /bin/bash: line 3: couriergrey.8.in: No such file or directory
| mv: cannot stat `couriergrey.8.tmp': No such file or directory
| make[3]: *** [couriergrey.8] Error 1
| make[3]: Leaving directory
`/home/algernon/ext-src/debian/sponsor/couriergrey-0.3.0.1/man'
| make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
| make[2]: Leaving directory

| make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
| make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/algernon/ext-src/debian/sponsor/couriergrey-0.3.0.1'
| dh_auto_build: make -j1 returned exit code 2
| make: *** [build] Error 2
| dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2
`

This seems to happen because upstream deletes the couriergrey.8 file
upon make clean, but fails to ship couriergrey.8.in to support
regenerating it. That would be a DFSG violation, as part of the source
is not shipped - thankfully, that source is restorable, because the only
thing the Makefile changes is the VERSION string. You might wish to
notify upstream about this problem, but it can be fixed without a new
upstream release, in my opinion.

Other than this, the package looks fine, and I'll upload once the build
issue is fixed (and this time, it won't take months to review the
update, I promise!).

 I haven't looked closer, but the m4 build-dependency looks interesting
 to me. On a first look, it shouldn't be needed. Granted, it doesn't hurt
 much, even if it is not needed, but still.

 I am looking for a sponsor for my package couriergrey.

  * Package name: couriergrey
Version : 0.2.2-1
Upstream Author : Matthias Wimmer m...@tthias.eu
  * URL : http://couriergrey.com
  * License : GPL-3

This version was successfully built in a clean chroot (unstable):

dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/couriergrey/couriergrey_0.3.0.1-1.dsc

Lintian shows:
I: couriergrey: spelling-error-in-binary usr/lib/courier/filters/couriergrey

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me or give me remarks.
